ProsA while back I purchased a Chinese made cross vice. It was complete except for two missing hand wheels. I have been wondering where I could get appropriate replacements. Two of these hand wheels solved the problem.ConsI had to retap the holes for the set screws. I also had to drill out the hole for the shafts coming from the cross vise. The scales on the rim of the wheel are slightly skewed.Conclusion:I'm not going to do high precision work with the cross vise. The hand wheels will be adequate. I've found that just about all Chinese machining goods have problems with final finish and quality control. I would not recommend buying anything more complicated then a castor that was made in China. Check out the videos on You tube for further opinions on these products.
