If you want to cut thin delicate wood ( hobbyist) this set is terrible. Shreds basswood.

I've already used this on crafts. The saw worked better than it appeared that it would because the teeth are so small you can hardly see them. It's good for small items which is what I bought and used it for. Positive experience.

Use it to cut 3/8" quarter round trim. very accurate and handy to have. much easier than using either of my power saws.

I guess I should have looked more carefully. I expected a standard size Mitre box, it was certainly in the same price range, instead I got one more suited to crafts rather than construction. I chose it because I liked the fine kerf on the blade by didn't even think about size. It looks the same in the pictures. Anyway, since I bought it for cutting some corner trim I will keep it and find some who does craft work when in done.

Liked the quality of the miter box... saw blade slides not too loose, so precision is there.Would have liked to see a second blade included in the kit.Overall Excel lives up to its reputation of supplying quality tools for crafting.

Got this as a gift for my mother, she uses it for cutting lead for stained glass pieces and is very happy with it! Accurate angles, the saw is nice quality and everything should be nice and durable.Way better than the cheap plastic ones!

Great value set, espially taking into consideration these were being sent from the U.S. I already have the saw but the teeth have blunted over the years and needed replacing. I only really needed a new blade but when I saw the entire saw plus an aluminium mitre box Ihad to have it. The box has a small lip along one edge so you can hold it against a table edge to prevent it from slipping around. This is an essential tool for a modeller like myself to ensure right angled or 45 degree cuts in small sectioned metal, wood or plastic. Recomended.
