Not really big enough for squirrels to sit, either that or i have giant squirrels….in my yard . They tend to just open it from the top and grab the nuts . The blue jays definitely enjoy it the most . It is a cute item , some assembly required but decent quality.

Updates: I absolutely hate this thing. I started with 3 stars and you can read that below. It's now a one star for me. The glass doesn't stay in place and all of the seed/ peanuts just land on the ground. Then I have to locate the plastic and try to reassemble this stupid thing. I had popsicle sticks in place to help hold the glass. That only briefly worked. It's cute but it doesn't function properly.I bought this to redirect the squirrels from my bird feeders. Maybe it worked too well as the first time they used it they tore the screws out of the back of the feeder. The feeder itself seems fine but the picture hanger type mounts are awful. The screws are WAY too short and mine both ripped out of the back of the feeder leaving a huge mess. Fortunately, it doesn't appear that any damage was done to the feeder.I installed across a 2x4 crossmember of my fence. Admittedly, there may not have been enough support against the full back of the feeder but it felt sturdy enough when I mounted it. Regardless, the tiny screws are just way to small to support this.I drilled two holes through the front and used larger wood screws to fasten it to the 2x4. This is a much sturdier option and really how this should have been designed.Hopefully I won't experience any other issues. My only other real complaint is that the left glass panel is nearly impossible to insert or remove. I had to remove "the nut bar" sign in order to fully open the top to insert the glass. As long as I don't have any breakage it should be fine but not a clean mounting method.
