Item was too small for my valve/Escutchoen. Evidently there are several different sizes. Had to order correct one from Moen

It was very easy to install, just remove 1 screw to pull the handle, then pull a tube that gets replaced with this, and screw in the handle again. Only fits one way so nothing to figure out. Easy to adjust and included the hex wrench. Can't ask for more or simpler.It works great at limited the maximum heat set in the shower.
