Have been using this shower system for about a year now.It's great it auto turns off on loss of power, auto temp adjustments are a live saver, really nice clean display too easy to read from a distance.Only downside for me is the company is strictly America's only - their app is country locked which makes support impossible and there's no timezone that matches where I am.

I purchased and installed this product 2 weeks ago in my main bathroom. Installation was simple and the device worked well as soon as it was connected. The build quality is solid and it looks good. BUT I bought this hardware because I wanted SMART features also and it is a big disappointment.If you want to control features from the phone, customize icons, fix time (as default eastern timezone doesn't account for daylight savings) or control brightness, you need to have this device connected to "U by Moen" application. Good luck with that.I have not been able to connect this device with the app. Go read this app's rating (I use iOS version). It is near zero. I have called support and spent 2+ hours on the phone with them without success. The call concluded by Moen support declaring that I must wait for new version of the app and they have no idea when it is coming.Feel bit like a fool for ending up with a digital button to control the shower and paying thousand dollar extra.

The setup for this was one of the most painful I've encountered. I created an account then it refused to accept my password, told me I hadn't created the account, refused the password again, refused to let me create another account. After just trying repeatedly for about half an hour I finally got it to work and connect to the controller. Since then I've had no issues. I open the app on my phone and press the preset button and away it goes.It does a great job of temperature control, I don't even notice any changes anymore whereas before it was constant adjustment of hot and cold as the dishwasher, washing machine and toilets went on and off. It looks good, was a bit bright at first and wife complained so I lowered the brightness in the settings.Installation was pretty straightforward. The only part I really had trouble with were the mounting screws for the controller holder. They were too short to reach through to the other side (one layer of marble, one of concrete and one of drywall) as they recommend and longer screws are not an option as these are already incredibly rare to have heads that small and be as long as they are. Eventually I used 3/8" plastic wall anchors in the marble and screwed into those and that worked great for a rock solid mounting. The inlets/outlets connected to Sharkbite 1/2" connectors without any adapter requirements making the plumbing process easy enough.I did install an access panel and shutoff valves but even then be warned that when taking the line filters out there will be water going everywhere, stuff a towel underneath before you start or your wall is going to fill up with water.I didn't have any WiFi issues as others have mentioned but I also have a high end gaming router with eight antennas positioned directly below the bathroom. They don't mention it but when the AC power goes out it will run off the battery but the WiFi will be disabled. When it can't connect to the WiFi it will reset every couple of minutes trying to connect (and not connecting of course because they turn off the WiFi). I did call Moen and tell them about this and they agreed it was a bug so hopefully will be fixed in the future. Not a showstopper because you just have to wait for it to reset and then start the shower, and it won't reset while the shower is running.I combined the upgrade with a Moen Verso multi-head and Moen body sprayers (where the hot and cold faucets used to be) and showering now is just pure heaven. My only regret was not doing this sooner. Total cost for everything needed to complete the project was about $1600 and IMHO well worth it.

Updated review:- This product is simply not ready for primetime and you can tell that it's a water company trying it's hand at tech. The water part works well. The tech part, that it requires a 2.4 Ghz network, that it's homekit integration isn't documented, that the website doesn't work well, that it didn't register our account properly, that it resets itself randomly all just point to a company out of it's depth when it comes to making long-term workable app & tech products.Unfortunately, this product is fabulous when it works and a lovely luxury, but it just doesn't work.We originally had two problems:1) The app is really hard to configure and get working - it's like working with apps from 10 years ago.2) Biggest problem is that the unit keeps losing power which means you can't have a shower until you open up a wall panel, unplug, replug, and reboot. What a PITA.After working with tech support (leave it unplugged for 5 minutes (which if you have the battery backup means going into the shower encloser and fumbling with cables), and make sure it's on your wifi (which has to use 2.4Ghz - and that's inconsistent - see Reddit) and which took 37 attempts to finally work we did get it connected to the server and it worked great for about 30 minutes.After which the app lost our credentials and couldn't find them again. This has never happened to me across the hundreds of product and other accounts I've used in my life.Stay away, this product just isn't ready for prime time. It's a product from a water company that thinks adding a screen and an app is easy stuff. It isn't and they failed.

It was very simple to install. I love the cable that is just a 3 connector headphone/mic cable (1/8 or 3.5mm) : simple and easy to replace if anything happens (I tested the cable with my phone+headphones). The App is pretty good (I have Android). The angle of view is a bit narrow, so make sure you install it high enough. Quick enough to switch on and off the Outputs. I have 4 output connected: 2 Rain Shower heads, 1 Telephone Shower and 1 set of 3 Body Jets. Great that it has a black version, all my hardware is matte black. The valve (that Is a different purchase) is pretty very good too. The ensemble is a good choice. One downside might be that you cannot control the pressure of each output, but it's not a big deal. (After thinking about it.... who turns on shower only halfway?)

Absolutely LOVE the temp control and with on and off buttons, but the app gets 2/3 of the way through the setup device and hangs. I'm convinced it's my 2.4 and 5G service on my cell. The phone wants to use 5 but the app wants 2.4... uhg. Tried disconnecting phone from 5g network and 2.4 couldn't find the internet? Like why is this so difficult? my house is FULL of smart devices that i've personally connected and they talked to the phone... After reading the essay the other client wrote I pressed the down key and my shower can SEE the wifi, but it says it's not connected? Seriously? Any advice? Anyone? I would call the manufacturer eventually but this approach may be faster...Update: It finally connected!!! Guess it just wanted to feel at home before it let me connect... I don't see a U by Moen in my 'works with google' though. More investigation req'd.

I have installed this device in my shower and it has been working well for a few months. My only negative comment is on the setup of this device. The instructions which come with it are poor. After fussing with it for a while I got it set up and working fine. One of the features which proved useful was the ability to blank the screen after inactivity. This was needed since the bathroom adjoins the bedroom and the device was bright enough to bother us while sleeping. At one point I changed the internet router and lost connection. I ended up having to reset the device and starting the setup over since the device appears to have no other way of doing this. The reset instructions were found online but not easily. The instructions for doing this are not included with the written direction. In summary the device works very well once setup. I push a button and it works.
