it does fit the coolant overflow tank but my original one would snug down tight and this one will doesnt have enough threads to snug it down. it will start to tighten then pop back up a thread or two. 04 mazda 3edit: after quite a while of using this cap, it will not keep pressure in the system and occasionally makes my temp go really high or overheat. dont waste your money.
