Both the parent and baby units can be run by battery, plugged into the wall, or plugged into a usb outlet. So you’re covered in any situation. So many baby units run only if they’re plugged in. That’s why I went with this one, because there’s not always an outlet near where my baby sleeps. The battery lasts a good while, though I’ve never used it for more than a couple hours at a time. Sound is very clear. If one unit loses power, the other beeps to let you know. All in all, it’s very well built and well thought out.

Works great! We had trouble finding a monitor that would work for us (toddler is downstairs we are upstairs). We found a camera monitor that reached but the sound wasn't very good. So we bought this to sit on his headboard. You can actually hear him breathing. The sound quality is amazing. Worth every penny

We use this set traveling and it is great. The only complaint is that the battery could certainly be larger, it dies before a full night for sure. Solution is to have a battery bank which is really easy! We would recommend it though as some alternatives are way more expensive for about the same thing.

Bought this for when my daughter is in the vehicle and im doing farm chores. Easy to use and small enough to fit in my pocket without being bulky. I like that it comes with two chargers and a really nice carry case. It is a staple to my diaper bag.

The "connection lost" sound is very quiet and barely audible. This is important if the battery dies or is out of range or for other reasons. I would probably sleep through it and I would likely miss it if I was awake and in a noisy area. Also, there is no way to adjust the sensitivity, which is a bit disappointing. This might be a VTech-only feature. I will be returning it and am surprised to see that I have to pay for return shipping for a product that did not meet my expectations.

I wanted a secondary monitor to use in and around the house, and this works perfectly. Now my little one can fall asleep anywhere, and I can leave him there to get stuff done around the house with peace of mind.Sound quality is good. You can hear everything and adjust the level. I do wish there was a sound indicator light you could toggle on or off all the time without having to mute the audio, but that's my only gripe. The battery lasts long enough for my use, which is mostly just for naps and such during the daytime.I love that it is USB-C rechargeable and it does work with most of the chargers that I already had at home (plus it comes with 2 extra chargers).

Really pleased with these audio baby monitors! Their sensitivity to sound, long battery life, and portability are definitely standout features. They have exceeded my expectations and I use them a lot more than I thought I was going to.
