I've had it 4 months and this item has worked perfectly on two recent trips. They were both used in car caravan situations, the first was in Mexico with 6 vechicles and a talkie in each. We were able to keep one another aware of road conditions, traffic and gas stops. The next time in Africa where in addition they werre used when hiking and the flashlight came in handy when the electtical went out. I'll be using it a loy more...a handy tool to have.

Great gadgets! The quality is very good; voices sound crisp and clear; they’re simple to use – not a lot of fancy functions which is why I like them; they’re user-friendly. I appreciate the charging station houses both units so you can charge them up simultaneously. All around great to have if you’re camping, doing road trips with 2 cars, or security on any type of campus such as a church or school. Useful distance is outstanding. Definitely recommend!

We bought these for trips and really anything else we're doing while traveling, mainly camping. Recently, we took a quick camping trip over the weekend. There was a small hiking trail that a few of us took while others stayed looking at the views from a mountain top. There was a small creek that was close to this trail and one of the kids with me had one of the walkie talkies. While using it to talk to the other group, they dropped it in the water. It was only submerged completely for maybe a few seconds but it was enough to cause it to be completely wet. After shaking and drying this off, we were still able to use it and talk to the other group. There was no muffling sound and the other group was able to hear us talk the whole time. Even after it completely dried, it still works as it should. I can definitely say this is completely water proof. Plus the range on these is really good. Surpassed my old set that I had.

In the mannual under battery information is states the following " 5% of time transmitting, 5% of time receiving with speaker on, and 90% waiting for incoming call"Radios do not hold charge, I have purchased about 4 sets of them and all radios do not last a full day with a charge after only using them for a month.

Myself and two colleagues purchased for work use. They do not work. Battery dies fast on these, one of 4 no longer turns on. Please do waste your money

we use them fishing on the lake up north to stay in touch with others on the lake and its the best we have tried yet. i wish battery lasted a bit longer 8-10 hrs with minimal chatter. they do have long range

I like these on paper but was disappointed in the experience. I bought these specifically for driving the northern Dempster highway with a friend. There is no cell coverage. One unit failed to hold charge, then refused to turn on at all mid trip. Very disappointing. I would try them again but considering they failed the first task I had bought them for I’m disappointed.

Likes- Range is amazing- Audio quality is amazingDislikes- Batteries do not last long. It would be amazing to see rechargeable battery instead of individual batteries.- In cold weather batteries die out soon.- Screen could be improved with a little bit of better infographics.
