Bought it a few years back and installed it, haven't had to fiddle with it since, that's exactly what you want.

I have purchased 5 sets of these, all at different times. They work as advertised and they are relatively inexpensive. Great solution for mounting satellite speakers.

They are all metal. I was disappointed at first because I wanted to mount them on the wall. But mounting them on the wall gives you the ability to tilt your speakers but not pivot them. This was important to me because I wanted the ability to adjust the speakers depending on where I was in the room. Thus, I had to mount them on the ceiling which afforded me this flexibility. They seem to hold the tilt angle well. And I am able to pivot or swivel the speakers in the desired position. I did not mount them in the ceiling joists but rather in the drywall only using the plastic anchors & metal screws. Granted, my speakers only weigh about 2 or 3 pounds. But I think they would hold speakers a bit heavier. I’m overall satisfied with the purchase. I make it a habit to read the 1-3 star rating reviews. And as far as I can surmise it may an issue where some consumers were sold defective products. This is to be expected with any product produced en masse. However, this speaks volumes to the company’s aftermarket support. It appears I was fortunate to receive products that worked as advertised. But as always buyer beware! Hope this helps someone like me looking for affordable, quality speaker mounts!

Great mounts for my 10 lbs. Paradigm Titan book shelf speakers, as i am limited to room in my house and decided to hang speakers from the ceiling. I looked at many mounts , but these caught my eye just due to the design and construction of these brackets so had to try them, Great product in my books and has a safety cable incase of a detachment of mounts.

I purchased a pair of inexpensive book shelf speakers, using these mounts and screws that came with the mounts, I screwed them into the top my inexpensive speakers so they could be ceiling mounted. The mounts are very sturdy, easy to assemble. You can take easily them apart via a wing nut so you don't have to hold the speaker and manually screw in wood screws. You can attach both halves individually, then lift the speaker into place and put the wing nut back on, very easy. Also comes with a metal safety tie so that if by chance the wing nut comes loose, it'll keep the second half and your speaker from crashing into the floor, or worse, someone's head. Highly recommended, although your use will probably vary over how I mounted my speakers.

well they are strong and work great for my mid rear speakers because i only need them to tilt up and down. so for me they are 5 stars but overall i gave them a 3. they are only designed to tilt up and down and spin the speakers in a circle which is stupid, lol. if you wanted to tilt them lift to right you could install them on the wall with the degree of angle you wanted them then lit them as you need then use the spin adjustment to level the speakers, but you would have to install them to the wall exactly as you want them otherwise you would need to reinstall them to get the right angle, vs having a mount that you can adjust anyway you want after they are installed on the wall. like i said though they are good quality just wanted to point out those things
