Black lotus is a legendary card familiar to most MTG players. These backs play homage to it. Easy to use, they function as expected, no splits or tears in my package. Average shuffleability.

By looks alone, I love these sleeves. The problem is that my particular sleeves have started showing scratch marks on the back. I can't have visible marks on the back of my sleeves. That said, if I had known about that before I used them, it might have been a different story. If you really like the art, you can put these sleeves into outer sleeve to protect them. This wouldn't be the only art sleeve that needs that. I'd really rate this 3.5 stars if I could because you can account for it, and I often buy art sleeves knowing that I'll have to do that.I haven't had any split yet, but they do feel on the thin side. I'd handle with care until you get an outer sleeve on these.

These MTG Card Sleeves (Blood Black Lotus) are a perfect blend of protection and style, making sure your precious cards stay safe while looking cool in the process. With a matte back and a clear front, they offer that sleek, smooth feel while still showcasing your cards’ artwork clearly, because who doesn’t want to flaunt their shiny Black Lotus while keeping it in mint condition? At 66x92mm, they fit standard Magic cards like a glove, snug but not suffocating, so you won’t be struggling to get them in (no need for a card-sleeve wrestling match here). The matte finish not only reduces glare, but also adds a nice tactile feel, preventing the dreaded slippery hand syndrome when you’re shuffling. If you’re a collector or competitive player, these sleeves are a must-have for the long haul. Not only do they protect your cards from the wear and tear of constant shuffling, but the art design is bold enough to start a conversation. The 100 count is perfect for a full deck, and they’re durable enough to handle all the battles, whether you’re dueling at home or at your local tournament. So, if you want to show off your cards and keep them looking pristine, these sleeves are definitely a “must shuffle” addition to your Magic collection.

This review is for the Artimana brand 100ct card sleeves, with the ‘Blood Black Lotus’ art. These sleeves are very nice, but I would not call them ‘matte’ at all; if anything, it’s more of a satin feel. Shuffling can occasionally get a little difficult, with sleeves sticking or just being awkward the way non-matte sleeves tend to do. They aren’t nearly as bad as full glossy sleeves, however. They have held up to light use as well as any other art sleeves I’ve tried out so far.The art is the best thing about these sleeves. The colors are bright and bold, and the reddish ‘wisps’ coming off the edges of the black lotus are really well done, and the red frame around the edges really brings it all together. The printing is clear and sharp, and the colors blend nicely without blurriness. Definitely suitable for a black deck.Four stars, because of the shuffling issues inherent in this sort of finish.

First off, I received 104 sleeves instead of the advertised 100. I am very happy about this, I always like to have a couple of extra sleeves in case there's a problem with one or two. You don't want to try to sleeve up a commander deck only to find that there are only 99 usable sleeves in the pack. The artwork looks nice, and did not come off when I tried scratching it off with my fingernail, though this did leave dents in the plastic which are visible from some angles. Seams pulled apart fairly easily when I tried pulling them apart, but I did not have any break while shuffling. The size is good, and they work well for double sleeving with KMC perfect fits. Compared to other sleeves I had on hand, they're slightly shorter than dragonshield mattes, and very slightly taller than katanas. They're loose enough to make double sleeving easy without pushing the inner sleeve off the card, though that does lead to a slight amount of slipping inside. You do have to be a bit careful when removing the air while double sleeving - one of my cards shot halfway out of the outer sleeve when I put pressure on them to remove the air. Once the air is removed they're fine, though. The feel in hand is nice - they're not matte, but aren't excessively slippery. They fan smoothly in the hand, but don't immediately start sliding everywhere when you put your deck down on the table. Shuffle feel is not as nice as katanas or dragonshield mattes, but it's workable. I haven't put them through hundreds of games, but after a few dozen test shuffles there are no visible marks on the back or front. The edges were not perfectly consistent in color even directly out of the package, so I can't tell if shuffling has changed that at all. No bent corners in my test shuffling. All in all, they're very nice art sleeves. 4.5 out of 5 stars, rounding up to 5 because I like the picture on the back.
