Best squirrel feeder yet! The top is metal and angled so it doesnt get wet~. The platform is large enough for the critter to sit comfortably while they munch and crunch! Love this feeder!

This is so we'll constructed and ready to install. Just one screw and we installed it at the base of our big tree outside. It's fun to watch the squirrels flock to the the little hut and hilariously leave peanut shells all over the place 😂 We live in a heavily treed neighborhood so this fits right in and a lot of our neighbors stop to watch the squirrels now as well.

Very well made and sturdy. It holds a lot more food than I expected it to. The Squirrels found it almost right away and visit every day. A great way to feed the Squirrels and stop the Magpies taking everything...they get their own feeder!

Update: Red Squirrels can not physically open the lid. Its too heavy. 😪 so they can't get all the nuts I put inside.I bought three as you can see from my photos. I love my red squirrels and used to just put nuts out for them. Then I realized that blue jays were swarming and stealing all the nuts! I tried stashing nuts in tree trunks and holes in logs. Same thing happened. I prefer to put them high up because now foxes have come hunting four times a day. They eat dead blue jays ( if they hit windows), mice, shrews and would LOVE to catch my red squirrels . I can't stand the stress. Too many close calls. These houses will hold a fair number of peanuts and other better quality nuts and the rives will keep them dry. I only hope my smaller squirrels have the strength to lift the rives as they are a bit heavy wirh the metal on top of the wood lid. I'm counting on blue jays NOT being able to get these nuts. I give them other stuff. Ip-date: blue jays CAN get nuts if you leave it slightly propped open. They can't get nuts that are deep down but they still can get nuts this way. My red squirrels sadly can not. The squirrels are too small.😪

Das Futterhaus für Eichhörnchen an sich macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Leider können meine Besucher nicht nachvollziehen, dass sie dort Futter finden können, denn seit einer Woche bleibt es unberührt. Trotz mehrmaliger Sichtungen von Eichhörnchen in der Nähe hat sich noch kein Tier am Futter bedient. Vielleicht braucht es einfach etwas Zeit.

I can’t wait to get more money to buy more of these! I filled it up with shelled peanuts and hollered out yo the squirrels and it was an INSTANT HIT. I have very happy squirrels😊 Well made and adorable

Maybe it's the squirrels I have in my backyard but they have issues opening the lid. (It looks like it's too heavy for them to lift.) For the moment I leave the lid partially opened using a branch to stop it from closing. We'll see come winter how much snow goes in or not.
