Took this to dive in water that I thought would be 16°C. The water was 12°C. It was cold! Thanks to this hood and a 7mm wetsuit, I stayed pretty toasty underwater.

Used this good when first opening our pool. I hate the cold water and this hood kept my head warm without that initial surge of cold. Was concerned that the collar would be too small but it protects the neck and shoulders fine. The face cutout is the right size but could be easily cut to accommodate a larger face.

I don't do that much cold water diving so I didn't want to invest a lot in a hood. This one did the trick. It kept my head warm and was easy on and off. Standing in chest-deep water I could easily pull it down around my neck to avoid any feelings of claustrophobia. That also made it easy to put my mask on UNDER the hood.

I went by the size chart and measured my head before placing the order. Most of the bad reviews were around the sizing being off. But when I received the item it was perfect. The face opening size was another complaint and for me it was fine as well. But what really impressed me was how well this thing was made the seams are strong and the material is not flimsy like some cheap neoprene this hood should last for many years.
