Bought for a very old pool slide that has no manufacturing number or name on it or steps. These fit the inside measurement and I was easily able to attach them. They sit slight forward of straight but they will do. They are made of a sturdy molding materials, and perform perfectly. Nice appearance, nice product .

Easy to install, I used my old hardware as it was still in great shape. They fit nicely and are sturdy, sure beats paying for a whole new ladder! The thickness is the same as the old steps I had so I am optimistic they will last a decent amount of time as the old ones were 17 years old.

These replacement treads are much more affordable than buying a new ladder. However, the plastic is much thinner than that of the originals. This means that the original stainless steel bolts, which have a cap nut rather than an open nut, don't tighten sufficiently without adding washers to make up the missing thickness. The result is more flex in the tread and in the frame of the pool ladder. This is OK for us so far but may be a problem over time or if used by heavy people.

We only needed one new step, but this set of three was only about $6 more than buying one step from our local pool supply, so that seemed a no brainer. The steps are almost twice as thick, like the steps they were replacing that had lasted us over two decades, so it feels more substantial than the more expensive steps from our local pool supply too. Though the type of plastic seems harder, more brittle and thus slightly harsh to step on. That's not a remote concern, as long as the type of plastic doesn't break after only a season or two. The steps our pool supply carries, which they only carry quality (often expensive) items are almost rubbery, but they feel like they start to deteriorate after a few seasons of use, so we worry they could break at any time, as we have those on another ladder going into the pool. Our older steps were thick and hard like this, but with more rounded edges and not hollow on the bottom. They lasted for decades. We'll report back should these fail prematurely.These were exactly the 17.75 inside size advertised in the specs (product description) section of the listing. Neither measurement was 18 inches as shown at the top of the listing.
