Not exactly sure the history of this company or where the product is manufactured now (Brazil perhaps), but this is a high quality file, comparable to the old Nicholson files you will find in your grandfather's tool kit. I attached my file to a turned cherry handle and its ready to work a long time.

I am always pleased with Nicholson files. You may be able to get them cheaper somewhere else.
