Works on Nikon Z cameras, including the Z8 and Z9 as well as the listed compatible cameras.

The GPS functions properly with my Nikon D750 camera. However, the GPS is useless without the cable. The cable connectors are fragile and can easily get damaged if the user isn't extremely careful when maneuvering the camera with the cable attached. Additionally, replacing the cable is not a straightforward due to the unavailability. Therefore, I consider the cable design to be poor, which explains my three-star rating.

This device is not as accurate as advertised, comparable to Blackberry and iPhone GPS. Also, the supplied cable is poor quality. Connection to the device interferes with the strap.

Works fine, I love having Geo info on my photos but a pain to turn on and off

The GPS unit clips in the hotshoe of the camera and connects to a side port with a short cable. I prefer using the strap clip as the GPS unit interferes with the pop-up flash. The clip needs to be secured to the strap else it will slide off (a well-placed zip-tie will do the trick). The GPS seems to be accurate in my testing and, once locked, provides quick GPS and time data to the camera to encode in the metadata of each photo. There is an on-off switch to conserve power that also allows you to disable the GPS tagging. Beware the cable - it can be fragile - and disconnect it from the camera when you stow the camera. A replacement cable is available at about half the price of a new GPS unit (and is included with the new GPS unit). If you need a remote shutter release, it is included. Because the GPS unit draws power from the camera, battery life of the camera is impacted but it does not seem to be significant. However, note that the GPS unit will discharge the battery if left connected and on overnight. Would buy a replacement if this one failed.

This little GPS receiver was purchased last year and works perfectly well for my Nikon D810 camera. I am particularly amazed by the short acquisition time for GPS signals. Moreover, the price is very reasonable. The seller is extremely helpful and worked very hard to respond to my questions in a timely way. Overall, I am very happy with this product and the service from the seller.

Great little unit, however, the connecting N3 cable that connects the GPS unit to the GPS port on the camera is extremely fragile. Once broken, it renders the unit useless until you can buy another cable which can range from cheap to expensive depending on how far away you order it from. Instead of supplying two different cables that work with both kinds of GPS ports on the camera, Id prefer to state up front which camera I have so I could receive 2 of the same cable that works with my camera.

The GPS device does exactly what it should. Very happy with it.The included cable is garbage and is very easy to break. DO NOT leave the cable plugged into your camera - it will certainly break at the connector where the wiring is NOT securely attached. The replacement cable of ridiculously expensive given how bad it is.

Very happy with this GPS, works as advertised. No issues so far, no problems with the cable and no problem with the strap attachment, I do prefer the hot shoe mount though. The only small thing I'm worried about is the on off switch, it is very small and I'm just a little bit worried about it's durability, I'm wondering if it's a good idea to leave it on all the time to keep the switch from wearing out, maybe I'm just being paranoid. Any way two thumbs up for now and hope it lasts a long time.Update;Just bent the connector on the camera end of the plug. Aargh! I'm hoping I can get a replacement cable (will try and see how it goes) otherwise the GPS still works great, I'm going to get an extra cable if I can find them. Dropped one star for the flimsy cable.New UpdateGot the new cable and once again the cable bent at the camera end of the connector, this is getting ridiculous. I have to order another cable. By now I could have had another brand new GPS unit for the price I paid for the cable. If I can find the parts I will build my own cable but it seems a real challenge to find the parts. I think Micnova should lower the price of the replacement cable, paying over $26 for a cheap replacement cable is crazy. They must be making a ton of money on the replacement cable.Another UpdateSo Cocomall offered to send me two new replacement cables if I sent the broken cables back. I took them up on their offer and sent the broken cables back. This was going to China and it would have cost me more to register the package than the price of both GPS and the cables, so I didn't register and now it's been since the beginning of May and they still have not received my package, I'm really wondering what's going on with this. I'm getting so frustrated with this. I've got a feeling I'm not going to see anything. Pissed off now.

Newest Micnova GPS-N: Nice quality, great price, works as advertised and is a snug fit on my D500 hot shoe. I was not interested in calibrating the GPS or determining the yardage error rate--as long as I knew the general location, I was satisfied and this fills my needs. Regarding comments about GPS lag times or lag times locating a satellite...this unit located the satellite and my location in less than 45 seconds. My golf GPS takes 5-8 minutes to locate a satellite and course location. I agree with the comments about the cable length--another few inches would be fine. I ordered a generic cable adapter, but it wouldn't fit. Bottom line: For the price, quality, and function, the Newest Micnova GPS-N is a great deal!By the way, the D500 is not mentioned as compatible, but it works just fine!
