The carabiner can be clipped and locked to anything like a belt loop, backpack or water bottle by using the innovative slide lock on its gate, while the key ring hangs freely from the webbing strap. Use this for my keys and it holds a fair bit of weight as I have many keys and other keychains. The slide lock mechanism works great and is very sturdy!
