I used to put my chinchillas hay in a bowl but they would immediately pull all the hay out and scatter it everywhere. I got fed up and bought this manger so they can pull all the hay out of it and scatter it everywhere instead. Not the mangers fault my chinchillas prefer the hay on the ground. It’s held up pretty well regardless. Very difficult to clean since it soaks up all the pee but if you put it at the top of the cage where they can’t stand on it, the issue is fixed.

Design for the opening facing down too much, bunny has hard time eating hay from the box, he have standing on his back paws or bend the neck really backwards when eating, doesn’t look comfortable on him. Maybe it’s not for the playpen I have, can’t get the right height have it hooked on.

Excellent quality. What I like most is that I don't have to worry about our bunnies safety. The box is very sturdy and well made. Clean wood no toxins to worry about. Easy to install and the bunnies loved it! I do wish they made a bigger size. I got the large, fits well however I would love to see the company make an XL or XXL.

The hay bin is prefect for my guinea pig cage. I have a C&C 2×4 cage and it fits well connecting to the grid. It's tall enough that the guinea pigs can't climb on it and also has prefect width between each divider in the front so accessing hay is easy but it helps hay from falling out and being wasted. Very easy installation (less than 5 min.) and the quality of the product was great, very sturdy and in New condition. It holds enough hay to feed my 3 adult guinea pigs for 1 full day. Highly recommend.

Too small. Photo doesn’t show you how small. Also the lid doesn’t open if you secure it to the pen when closed or vice versa it doesn’t close when you put it in with lid open.
