This is a great little amplifier. I didn't look close enough at the fine print and was surprised when it showed up without a power supply but all of my workarounds have been worth it to see it run. I ended up using a 24v, 1 amp supply because I'm only running a 3ohm home theater sub. Even at half volume it's enough to shake the dishes. Good buy.

Bought this for an amplified subwoofer that had failed. Bought a 24v power supply to go with it, to maximize the output, the combination worked well, the model I bought was the subwoofer version, but it does have some higher frequencies coming through, but not a problem for me, but maybe a true audiophile might find it annoying. Saved me hundreds over buying a new sub.

Using this to drive a Dayton BST1 pro 50W RMS bass shaker via a 90W PSU. I can confirm the bass shaker is operating at capacity. Nice punchy performance and the shaker does get warm.I'm running it at max volume, I'm satisfied the amp does deliver on stated peak power judging by the bass shaker performance.I'm using Simhub so can't comment on the low pass filter performance right now but it's good to have if you are using the game audio directly to drive the bass shaker.

This is a well made, fine sounding little mono amp. It works great in most applications. It is based on the TI TPA3116D2 chip, which produces an extremely high quality 3.5 watt signal before distortion becomes intrusive. That's enough for most normal listening levels in a home theater, and if you aren't trying to play bass-heavy music at club levels, you'll probably never notice that this is not in any way a "50 watt" or "100 watt" amplifier or any other ridiculous exaggeration of its power. Why do people tell these lies? This is a very nice little 3.5 watt amplifier, and that's a good thing. Enjoy it for what it actually is!

I bought this little amp with the dedicated Nobsound power supply, but as soon as I turn it on theres a loud and constant buzzing noise... Volume doesn't seem to be consistent as well.. I tried diferent cables, power plugs, but nothing fixes it.

I had recently purchased a new surround sound receiver which I didn't realize didn't have a built-in amp for the subwoofer. I thought I was going to drop some more cash on a self-powered subwoofer until I came across this external amp. When it arrived I went to set it up and noticed there was no AC Adapter. Before messaging the seller I went on the description and read through word by word, and there it was near the bottom of the description "This one doesn't include a power supply".I will take some of the blame for missing that part but it could have been better advertised as well, say in the title of the product - No AC adapter included. Thankfully I managed to find a spare AC adapter that would work and soldered a plug on the end that the amp would accept, so it didn't cost me any more money. To buy the AC adapter they recommend would have been another $23, and another week to arrive. So what looks like a great deal can quickly turn into a bit of annoyance and a few more dollars (still cheaper than buying a new sub-woofer though).Pros:- It's compact and doesn't take up a lot of space- Good solid metal case, no plastic there- The price is still great, even with the missing AC adapter- So far the sound it produces seems to be pretty good for what I needCons:- No AC adapter. It's more the fact it's not advertised well that it doesn't come with one. Maybe offer two options; one with an adapter and one without.- It only has rubber feet so it needs to sit on a shelf. It being small and light allows it to move easily. A couple of screw mounts would make a big difference with this.

Honestly I did not have much optimism for this product , for the price and especially when i seen it , I'm running 2 x 25 watt Aura Bass shakers under my couches on a 2 ohm load off a 13.8Volt 10 amp power supply. man this little thing can put out ! , shakes the couches like crazy. a while movie it never got warm I also ran a small 8" subwoofer for fun 8 ohms and it did well. would have worked better if I was at 24 volts. impressive - little hum from the sub but nothing you would notice unless your listening for it , cant say for sure it was not the set up that caused the hum. great product for the money , I'm going to get the 200 watt version and see what it can do with max voltage and some car subs !!

This little amplifier works very well for your budget, low power subwoofer needs. I use this amplifier to bring life to two 12 inch, ported, single enclosure subwoofers that used to be in a vehicle, now collecting dust in my basement. I recommend this product if you are in a similar situation. This amp is not to be mistaken for a replacement to a high powered, high quality amplifier. My car amplifier easily drives these subwoofers to their limit. The Nobsound subwoofer amplifier powers these subwoofers to a reasonable listening level but does not have the power to bring down a house similar to a high powered car amplifier. To maximize the effectiveness of this amplifier, it is important to make sure the resistance of the subwoofer is as close to 2ohms as possible. The amplifier has a built in crossover although I am unsure of the frequency. Overall, for the price to performance, this is a great little amplifier. Note that a power supply is not included, I purchased the Nobsound power supply meant for this product and believe the combo is good value.

Replacement surround sound receiver only has line out for sub so I needed a small amp. This one works very well but only if you provide the full rated power supply. It will work on the minimum voltage and current listed but sound quality will suffer greatly. With a 20v, 5A supply this little thing provides lots of power and doesn’t get very warm at all. Way better than shelling out a few hundred bucks for a powered sub when I already have a good sub.I’m using the subwoofer version so no idea what the full range sound quality is like and the seller doesn’t list much for specifications either on amazon or with the unit.

Audio quality seems quite good at lower volumes. Higher volumes seem somewhat distorted. Low end of the volume control is too fine to adjust. There should be more range of volume adjustment at the low end. That part is disappointing. Reasonably satisfied.

This is the third Nobsound amp that I've purchased. My intention with the full-frequency mono amp was to power a center channel in my AV system. Currently, I have an Anthem preamp and power amp with Martin Logan electrostatic speakers. My intention was to swap out the big equipment and go with smaller amps and speakers. Just for kicks, I hooked the Nobsound to the ML center channel. That's a 5 ohm, 89db efficient speaker @ more than 100 times the cost of the amp. Pretty absurd! But, wow, it actually sounds pretty good, not quite as muscular as the 220 watt Anthem, but a bit more detailed and airy. I still think I'll downsize the speakers at some point, but for now I'm getting a kick out of powering the big electrostats with mini Class D amps. In my 5.1 system, I'm using two Nobsound stereo amps to drive the FL, FR, RL, RR speakers in addition to the Nobsound mono for the CC. I like being able to do separate manual adjustments for the center, front and rear volume levels. That sort of control is very useful with movies, as the sound balance varies a lot from one to another.UPDATE: I hooked up the Nobsound mono amp to a JBL 2445J compression driver and horn. The driver is 16 ohm, 111 dB @1w/1m. That's an insanely efficient speaker! With the mono amp, there was noticeable hiss even at moderate listening levels with the horns. I won't deduct any stars from my original rating because most people won't be using this amp with such a sensitive speaker. I'm guessing that any speaker under 95 dB efficiency (i.e., the vast majority of speakers) won't sound hissy. I thought this would be worth noting because I don't hear any hiss with the 2445J's hooked up to the Nobsound 100w x2 class D amp. I assumed that the Nobsound monobloc was identical to the stereo version except in the number of channels. Maybe not. The stereo version is quieter. But, again, you wouldn't notice that unless you were using super efficient speakers.
