The advantage of this fish food is that if you have adult fish in the same tank as the fry, the food is small enough that the fry will be well fed while the larger fish will go after whatever larger food you put in at the same time. The nutritional profile is geared to the needs of young fry.

It was just the right size for my baby bettas. Twenty of them survived which for my first time raising baby bettas was pretty good. All my fish love it. Even the big ones.

I bought this to feed my baby guppies but it's a little bit too big. They are micro but not micro enough. Other than that the larger guppies seem to love it.

We use this product in combination with Hikari First Bites and New Life Spectrum Grow. It's a little coarser than NLSG, but a little finer than HFB. That being said, it's 51% protein which is high even for carnivorous fish food - making it an excellent food for little fry. We begin feeding our betta fry this product around week 3 or 4, depending on fry growth rate. Using these three products together provides what I believe is the best start for growing fry. Combining several products also ensures that if one or two essential minerals/amino acids are missing from one product, the others will fill that gap. It's also available in a fairly large container for fry food (1.6oz) which is significantly larger than HFB.

Once raised to about 3/16" in height, I switch my Angelfish fry to this food. The tiny pellets, once poured into the aquarium and stirred into the water, the pellets float through out the aquarium and the Angelfish greedily chase it down. I'm on my third fry batch and the fish are growing steadily.FYI, I raise the fry to 3/16" on:
