Installed the straps in aluminum C channel and used them to provide indirect lighting to my boat. They worked perfectly in my application and don't affect your night vision

I bought these because they were 20” long to replace a set of 10 year old lights that had failed. The adhesive is not 3M and while it doesn’t seem as good it has held up fine in the last two weeks. I cleaned the area where it was stuck well and wiped with alcohol. Between the adhesive being clear and the leds COB it made the nose of the kayak light up internally which was a cool effect. The light level was great not too bright but not dim either. The water proofing on it handled waves and torrential rain.

The lights work good, however I had a connected come out of the light strip unfortunately. And now there is no refund or replacement .

stick these on, grab a little 22ga wire and have an entirely different courtesy light experience! the strips are waterproof, I think making the connection waterproof is most of the work of wiring these up :) i had a vision of running a new switch and circuit for these but found it much easier just to tap into the courtesy lights.i do wish there was a little easier way to link these and run them in series.the COB LEDs are very densely packed to make nice uniform light.
