On the round gauge the 18 gauge is smaller than the 19 and 20 gauge so it's hard to trust the rest. The rectangle gauge is fine. Thankyou.

This gift was well received by a family member working on beading and with the requisite wires for making ornaments and other holiday crafts projects. It’s proven quite valuable and helpful. For the price, the build quality is great, intuitive to use and just a good value, since it will inevitably be used for other projects around the house. I have done a lot of DC wiring on vintage motorcycles and other powersports vehicles and have completely wired my motor home with a battery bank, inverter, solar panels and controller, with marine grade switches and buses and 2/0 welding cable but I've never had a wire size gauge. Also am doing more and more welding and am always guessing at metal gauges. Is 18 gauge thicker or thinner than 16 gauge? What is the maximum wire size that will fit in this DINSE connector? Now I finally know. Well worth a few bucks to hang above your shop bench.
