This is a cool way to connect a fire stick to the car to watch movies or shows on a long car ride, it did not require a lot to install it we were able to connect it and then get internet from our cellphones to use the fire stick, it was a bit lagging when we have used it but it works ok. Good trick to turn the car's display as a small tv in the car.

Works as expected. It worked fine with my Fire Stick and Google TV. For the price I would expect this to also have wireless CarPlay to switch between the HDMI and my phone’s CarPlay, or I’ll just use my Wireless CarPlay AI box. Overall this works as described and as intended, USB to HDMI.

Absolutely love this product which I will be using on road trips. Compact and easy to set up. Turned my car screen into a smart TV with all my apps downloaded onto the firestick. I can watch pretty much anything. Would recommend and would buy again. Delivery was pretty quick price was discounted when I purchased it

This product works as expected and was fairly easy to get setup. I installed the product on a 2022 WRX and it worked woth no issues.The video streaming box requires a streaming dongle to connect. I used a Chromecast and firestick of which both worked equally as well.The video quality was low bit rate and even with a strong 4G or 5G connection you have some buffering.The experience strongly depends on your vehicles screen size ad resolution where the larger and higher resolution provides a better experience.Overall a good product that does what it states however is not the same experience as sitting at a computer, TV or high end mobile device.

No me gustó el producto por qué no vienen claras las especificaciones no dice si únicamente es para apple o para Android nunca pude conectarlo y eso que seguí todas las instrucciones nunca lo pude vincular con Android además que no hay algún vídeo o tutorial que te guíe para poderlo instalar con cualquier sistema solo podría decir que funciona para sistema apple.

The OTTOCAST Car TV Mate is a great device for adding streaming options to my car's display. I used it with my Google TV, and it worked seamlessly. It’s truly plug-and-play, with no noticeable lag. A solid choice for upgrading in-car entertainment systems!

The Ottocast is a good product that needs an update to make it great. The device connects to any vehicle with wired CarPlay and displays video from a connected HDMI onto the screen. Connecting to an Amazon Firestick is the most logical, but I suspect any device with an HDMI will work ie. game consoles, laptop, etc…. Video from a Firestick works well, but the major issue with the Ottocast is audio delay. The Audio does not match the video on screen when watching shows or movies. I initially thought it was my connection but I seems that others are also having this problem. I hope there is a fix for this as this product makes a lot of sense. Having the ability to connect to wireless CarPlay would also be a good upgrade for use on newer cars.

I have always been annoyed that automobile manufacturers seem to make sure that the screens in our cars are extremely locked down. As a responsible adult, I should be able to watch a video on my car screen while parked, but cars just never have that needed HDMI input.The OTTOCAST Car TV Mate solves that problem and finally allows me to attach any HDMI video source to my in-car screen. Sounds fantastic, right? Well, although it works for video they seem to have forgotten that we need sound as well. The audio capabilities are pathetic, with what feels like up to a half second of delay between the picture and sound. I can sort of make it work by turning up the volume on my laptop and listening to the sound through its speakers, but that solution does not work with devices without speakers, such as a FireTV stick.If you have a need for HDMI video without sound in your car, this is a great device. If you want usable sound as well I would wait for an updated version.
