I finally got rid of the alternator whining noise, it was making me crazy. Tried all the ground tricks from YouTube without success until I installed the RCA PAC SNI-1 Noise Isolator. The bass is still working great as well. It work perfectly on my car, no more whining noises!

Bin sehr zufrieden !!

Honda accord with a nasty alternator hum... This worked like a charm! Noise gone with no noticeable sound issue. Maybe a slight delay added. But it's a sub I'm using it on. Very satisfied

I use my laptop as my entertainment device. It is connected to a large screen and an old-school stereo system. There was a very very annoying buzz/hum noise in the audio which was most noticeable between song tracks and quiet parts of anything. This device completely eliminated that buzz/hum noise. Now I can't even tell if the stereo is switched on if there is no active input.

If you just want ground loop hum to go away, and don't actually care about sound quality very much, yes, this will reduce loop hum by about 30-40db.If you care in the slightest about quality, do not buy this. ESPECIALLY for bass or low mids. I measured a 30-40db spike in odd order harmonics in all frequencies below 250hz. That is very Bad.As you can see from the oscilloscope (all from the same input level) the low frequency waveform (that is 30hz as shown) is incredibly distorted. The 1khz is shown to show what full volume looked like, and the last is at 17khz. Note how it is obviously way way lower. The +/- .5db business is absolute trash. It starts dropping off at 14khz, and is completely down by 20khz. The caps you are running your signal through are awful as well.I was hoping to not pay absurd amounts for a good audio transformer, but apparently there really is no shortcut.

The product is easy to use and significantly reduces ground loop hum. Unfortunately it also cuts low frequency signals (bass).Looking for another solution in the interim

1. Excellent delivery- ordered Thursday received Monday! Kudos to seller to dispatch this ASAP2. Works 100%- be sure to diagnose the issue first. I found that my head unit was giving a strange clicking noise when the engine was running in the front speakers but not rear. Put in the filter in between the head unit and amp and voila pure silence. No hiss no click nothing. In fact there used to be some strange clicks at times while driving even those have stopped.I recommend putting these in between your source and amps as it offers complete isolation and only the audio goes to the amp. Totally recommended. We spent a lot of time diagnosing this and had to come to a point where I was thinking about replacing my head unit but this saved me

I have a 1999 Acura rl with the Bose premium sound system. I replaced my rear shelf speakers and installed a subwoofer and also installed a pioneer head unit. After doing all this i had a really loud engine whine through the rear shelf speakers. After reading reviews for this product I thought it would solve my issue so I bought and installed it and it did not. It did help my rcas get their ground because the internal ground fuse for my head unit was blown. I replaced my head unit with another(from pioneer to alpine) and the rcas were good on this one but I still heard the noise. After trying to plug the noise isolator into this new head unit my engine whine is solved.( I have once had to unplug and plug it back in when the noise returned)

Did exactly what I needed it to do. Had a terrible alternator whine (white noise-like sound that would increase/decrease based on the cars RPM) and this removed it almost completely. The reason there is still some sound is because I ran my speaker wires beside my power cable so it is picking up some interference. The interference is extremely negligible (basically 1/10 of the sound that was present before).YOU MOST LIKELY WILL NOT NEED TO GROUND THIS PRODUCT TO YOUR CARS CHASSIS!!! I experimented with that and it made the alternator whine come back immediately.

I just finished a massive stereo upgrade in my truck that included ripping out the ENTIRE interior, installing sound deadening materials and re-wiring everything. I installed a high-end touch screen head unit, component speakers up front, coax in back, wired up for a sub (to be installed later) and included an Infinity Reference Series amp. The first time turning it on I was so thrilled with the way it sounded! I spent a few hours tweaking and adjusting the inputs and levels to get it just right. What an upgrade to the factory system!Until I turned on the engine...All of the awesomeness disappeared in a flash when I heard the loud hiss and whirring noise in the background as soon as I started the engine. I felt like all my effort was for nothing... I pulled a bunch of things apart, testing various connections and ensuring that I had good grounds everywhere, etc. After a couple of hours of swapping cables and trouble-shooting (including testing voltages across various ground points, etc) I finally gave up and decided to "punt" and install ground loop isolators. These are usually a "last resort" because they typically attenuate the signal coming from the head unit and there is a discernible loss of sound quality in higher end systems. After a bit of research I decided on these PAC units - mostly because of positive results being reported, but also because of their reasonable price (some other units I considered were $50 each). They took just a few minutes to install to the head unit and I hesitatingly turned the stereo on (without the engine) expecting to hear a dramatic loss in sound quality. I was THRILLED to find that I could not tell the difference with the typical music I listen to (reggae, jazz, classic rock). I didn't even need to tweak to EQ to maintain the natural sound I had before. This seems to be one of those rare cases where the manufacturer's marketing hype actually seems true - they totally eliminated my engine noise without creating a discernible change in sound quality.
