Bought these to keep in my model RR assembly tool kit. They are exactly what is needed to precisely remove parts from sprue, remove flashing, and handle small parts for gluing.

This is the Piececool brand of tools that is offered to build Piececool brand metal models. These tools are much better made than another set I had purchased from Amazon. These Piececool tools were actaully cheaper. The look and feel of these tools are much better. They are better made. However, the milling of the tool could be more uniform, as you can see by the attached photo. This does not effect the performance, but the the appearance is not precise, so they only get 4 stars.

Perfect for building metal models with tiny parts

While the side cutters in this kit are the perfect tool for cutting out the metal parts for your craft, the alignment is off when I cut.I ended up ordering two sets, just so I could return one. The second set was slightly better than the first- but it’s like an ‘overbite’ in your mouth, where the cutting edge on one side is higher than the cutting edge on the other side, making the small parts you’re cutting out, bend and flex. It’s frustrating.

I have been doing a fair number of Metal Earth models over the last couple of years. I just picked up three more, and decided to actually get the correct tools for doing them.The pliers are very fine and do a fantastic job. The jaws meet perfectly when closed. The one thing to remember about them is, the pointy end is really sharp. I stabbed myself with it a couple of times by having them in my had and just closing my had and stabbing myself. They went right up under the skin. Careful with them.The cutters are absolutely perfect. The tabs holding the pieces on the tree have a triangular shaped recess with the tab in it. These cutters fit that recess perfectly and allow the tab to be cut as close to the part as possible without damaging it.Perfect tools for Metal Earth kits.
