The PlayStation VR - Skyrim Bundle is an exceptional gaming package that has truly elevated my gaming experience. As a fan of both virtual reality and the Elder Scrolls series, this bundle was a dream come true.First and foremost, the PlayStation VR headset is incredibly immersive. It brings the world of Skyrim to life in a way that traditional gaming cannot. The graphics are stunning, and the sense of scale and presence you feel within the game world is truly remarkable. The bundle includes everything you need to get started, including the PlayStation Camera and two PlayStation Move controllers. This comprehensive package ensures you have all the necessary equipment to fully enjoy the VR experience.Skyrim VR itself is a masterpiece. It's the complete Skyrim game, but reimagined for virtual reality. The feeling of physically swinging a sword, drawing a bow, or casting spells with your own hands is unparalleled. Exploring the vast open world of Skyrim in VR is an adventure like no other.Setup was straightforward, and I was up and running in no time. The headset is comfortable, even during extended gaming sessions, and the audio quality is excellent, further enhancing the immersion factor. This bundle is not only about Skyrim; it opens the door to a wide range of VR games and experiences available on the PlayStation VR platform. From action-packed adventures to immersive simulations, there's a diverse selection of VR content to explore. While the PlayStation VR - Skyrim Bundle is an investment, the experience it delivers is well worth it for gamers who want to step into the world of virtual reality. It combines the magic of Skyrim with the thrill of VR, offering an unforgettable gaming journey. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to take their gaming to the next level.

Purchased for son in law. He totally loves it. I suggest starting in short stretches as he actually got motion sick on his first session as he played way too long. It's helping in his rehab for hand surgery, an unexpected use!

I read hundreds of online reviews before purchasing PSVR. I had some reservations because of the negative reviews regarding the graphics, but I decided to go ahead and buy it anyway. I've played it at least five hours today, and I can understand why some have complained about the graphics, but those people are being too critical. The graphics aren't bad at all. Most of my time has been spent playing Skyrim. Graphically, it's on par with the PS3/360 version. That may not seem very impressive, but being in Skyrim completely makes up for the lack of fidelity. There is some blurriness and lack of detail. The draw distance suffers also, but I would say that's on par with the last gen systems also. Most of the people who write the negative reviews, have unrealistic expectations of current gen VR. For what it accomplishes, it's an unbelievable technology. I've dreamed of experiencing this level of immersion since I was a child. I'm now 35 years old and I feel like the future if gaming is finally here. This isn't a novelty, it's the inevitable progression towards something more than a flat lifeless screen. There are some negatives, but, in my mind, they aren't severe enough to lower my rating to anything less than 5 stars. A few of the negatives are: Slightly blurry graphics, blur in peripheral vision while using cinematic mode, the move controllers do not allow for natural movement, and the move controllers do not allow for enough interaction with the environment. Most of my complaints have to do with the move controllers and limitations of the PS camera. Considering this tech was adapted to the PS4, it's understandable and an incredible achievement. They made the most with the technology they had, and what they created is nothing short of amazing. A lot of people have mentioned that they experienced motion sickness, but I have yet to experience it myself. I played some demos, watched some movies, and I spent 3 hours playing Skyrim with the smooth movement option enabled. I played with both the move controllers and the dual shock. The movement is obviously smoother with the dual shock, but the Moves allow for much more interaction. I'd never used the Moves before playing in VR. They take a little time to become accustomed to. After an hour or so I had a pretty good grasp on them. As long as I can stomach it, I know I'll be investing many hours in Skyrim VR. My next purchases will be RE7 Biohazard and Doom VFR. I can't wait to try more games and I can't wait to see what comes out in 2018. The technology is relatively new, and games take time to develope. With time, I'm sure we'll see many more high quality games being released. If you're expecting high res graphics, you're going to be disappointed. If you're looking for an entirely different way to experience gaming, then buy this bundle right tf now! Just imagine what this technology will look like in 5 years on next generation consoles! *Update* I've owned my PSVR for about two weeks now. I stand by my original review, but I've had a couple of issues since then. One being that I have had an ongoing problem with the cinematic mode. While in cinematic mode, the simulated screen is slightly off center. Holding the recenter button does not correct this problem. I've also tried the other troubleshooting fixes, including rebooting the PS4 and placing the headset on a level surface while powered on. I used a level and tape measure to ensure that my camera is not at an angle or off center. I've read many online comments that state that this is an issue caused by the recent software update. Whatever the cause, it's really annoying. The problem also carries over to game content where the HUD and character is also off center and slanted slightly. My other issue is with the lenses. I wipe them off regularly and I store my headset on a charging stand, but somehow a piece of lint/dust has somehow found its way into the headset. At first I thought it was on the outside of the lens, but after wiping of the lens, I discovered that it is in the interior. I really don't know how to fix this issue without dismantling the headset, which is something that I don't feel comfortable doing.

PSVR is great for a lot of reasons: price, quality of games, along with a massive lineup of games due out this year exclusively for PlayStation. You also get a free PSVR game every month with your PS Plus subscription; I downloaded Rush of Blood for free in October before I even owned a PSVR. Awesome game btw. What I also like about the PSVR as opposed to other VR setups is that you can have friends over to play in your living room. Plus, everyone sees what you’re seeing through the VR on the TV. It’s a riot!! Which opens the door for some cool interactive “party” games to play with friends!! You can’t do that as easily if you’re VR is hooked up to your PC.Setup for the PSVR is simple af tooMy recommendations for games to buy first:1. SPARC - This is a fantastic VR Sports game. First of it’s kind too, I think. You get to play against opponents from all over the world. It’s like tennis and racket ball mixed inside the movie TRON. Sounds weird, but it’s best VR gaming experience I’ve had thus far. Get ready to get sweaty.2. EVE: Valkyrie Warzone - If you wanna fly around in spaceships and have some intense dogfights with your friends online. The buck stops here. Check out the demo for free before buying. I loved but it might be too much for some.3. RESIDENT EVIL 7 - Let me start by saying this IS THE BEST VR GAME out. It’s so well crafted and finely polished for VR. You’re gonna be absolutely terrified playing it. I found myself totally immersed, clutching my controller, carefully peaking around corners, and listening to anything creeping up behind me. Fantastic experience, a must buy in my opinion. If you don’t like your copy of Skyrim that came with the bundle (I know I didn’t) go trade it into GameStop for Resident Evil 7.4.Thumper - This game is hard to describe.. Race, rhythm, terrifyingly beautiful acid trip, visually stunning. Once you get sucked in, you won’t be able to blink.5. STATIK - If like puzzle games, look no further. You’ll be scratching your head playing this one, I can assure you. Very challenging.6. SUPERHOT - A brilliant puzzle game using Matrix style slow-mo action that makes you think about your moves very carefully as the game progresses.7. Until Dawn: Rush of Blood - Know someone who’s gets scared easily? Invite them over and throw them into the deep end. I laughed hysterically at my friends playing this one. A cheap thrill but quality fun! Guaranteed to scare the crap out of everyone. A rollercoaster ride from hell!!Skyrim VR is cool but it doesn’t work as well as I would have hoped. Really choppy for me, which gave me motion sickness. It’s a vast game, certainly the largest VR world to date but I just couldn’t enjoy navigating the world with out feeling sick. I’m sure others really enjoyed this game but it’s not for me.Hope this review was helpful.

My kids got in the habit of asking me to take them to PHX VR every few weeks last year. It's a place where they have several different VR systems (including the PS VR) and software that can be played/purchased on an hourly basis. They really like the "Job Simulator" games, for which Playstation VR has a version. I don't usually spend this kind of money at Christmas time, but I made the exception this year and I am not disappointedThe PS VR is a high quality piece, as are all of the Sony products and accessories that I have used.. I would not call my kids or myself die-hard gamers. The kids spend a few hours per week playing LEGO games, Ratchet and Clank, or Kung0Fu Panda. Every once in a while, I will buy a game for myself. My favorites are Pinball (makes the PS4 worth the price right there for me) and EA Sports PGA, but I haven't touched the PS4 for a couple of months, that is, until we hooked up the VR set. This is cool! I am really impressed with the depth to which you feel immersed in these games / places. I have played several games and demos of VR games and every one of them is really cool. The creativity in the development impresses me also. For instance, I would have never thought that this would amount to more than one person playing at a time (we don't subscribe to online multi-player stuff), but there are a few games where people outside of the VR headset can play cooperatively or as an opponent to the person in the mask, and it is just as much fun to be in either of those positions. I would definitely consider it worth the price that I paid for it, and since the 2017 holiday season is over, it is likely to be available at a lesser cost to you if you are considering the purchase.I have used the headset to play VR, of course, but it also works for regular games or DVD/BlueRay movies. The screen in the headset mimics up to a 226 inch screen from about 8 feet away. It is a really cool experience. I played the pinball game in it the other day and, while you don't get a 360 degree tour of the pinball table, it is definitely a different experience that I would consider better than playing on TV. I also watched the concert movie, Talking Heads: Stop Making Sense in the headset the other night and that was also very cool.Another of the great features of this is that the TV doesn't need to be on when only one person is using the system. There is audio output for earbuds (included) or headphones built into the headset, so everything you need is in there. I was watching that movie when I couldn't sleep the other night and I had no fear of cranking up the volume and waking anyone else up because I was in, "virtually" a different world. The immersive experience is greater than I would have imagined before I tried it. Really cool to look anywhere and see content like that. Again, not much of a gamer, but this came with SkyRim and I tried that out one evening. Before playing, I had set a glass of water next to me so that I wouldn't have to get up. About 1.5 . hours later, when I was finished playing and putting the stuff away, I realized how thirsty I was. Since that glass was not in the same world as I thought I was in I completely forgot that it was there. You are certainly transported away from everything else when you put this on.Speaking of putting it away, we also purchased the charging and storage stand for the PS VR, and I am glad that I did. It keeps everything including my original two dual-shock controllers right there, nicely organized and displayed, and it keeps them charged up. I would consider that a must have add-on.I would recommend this purchase to anyone, big-time gamer or not. I work with a guy (a serious gamer) who has the Oculus system. He is really pleased with everything about it, and I am certain that it has more quality and options than the PS, but he also spent at least 4X what I did for everything he needs to go with that. Finally, there are several versions of the packaging of this product. I went with this version because it had the motion controllers and the camera in the box. I had nether of these but they are definitely must-haves in order to play certain games. Take a look at the options that you want/need and make a selection accordingly.I hope you enjoy yours as much as we are enjoying ours!

Loved Skyrim when it first came out, even though the first iteration on PS3 gave my CECHA01 the YLOD. Played on another platform and this game stole HOURS from my life!!Now Skyrim is back on PS4 and in VR!!I purchased this Bundle cheap here on Amazon, and I'm so glad I did! The game hasn't really changed much fundamentally from the original, although I haven't gotten too far in yet, and I have yet to see some of that wild game physics glitches that the original Skyrim was known for(remember characters and items flying off into the sky with the slightest nudge, if you don't, do yourself a favor YouTube Skyrim Glitches). My only complaint...Nausea. So the VR is actually really cool, Skyrim is the kind of sandbox game that VR is made for...but my beef is with the controls. Left stick is to move forward, back, and strafe left and right, and if you are turning your head and moving forward, clearly you move in that direction. In my case, I have a limited amount to space, so I can't really do the whole turning my head/body thing to move in the desired direction. So I use the right stick to change direction, and that's where the problem is...It doesn't turn in a smooth rotation, but in a jerky, abrupt transition of about 20 degrees at a time that makes me kind of dizzy and nauseated. I have a pretty strong stomach, I don't usually get carsick or any kind of motion sickness, so I was kinda surprised that I felt the way I did. I took a break and didn't play again for a day, and yes the nausea and motion sickness did take a little longer to set in, but it still did.I'm so disappointed at the control of the character and that one minor problem of not being able to rotate/turn in a smooth transition. I'm pretty sure, if that wasn't the case, I'd give it 5 stars.Gonna keep trying and maybe take some Dramamine for the motion sickness, because I REALLY want to play this game!!The other games that came with the Demo Disk 2.0 don't get me sick at all and I'm looking forward to the release of Moss. Will tryout Farpoint VR and see how that goes since a lot of reviews say "No Nausea!"
