I bought it as a gift for my nephew because he wanted to get into collecting pokemon. he loved it and the broad helped him learn how to play the game, he loved the different cards. Its great for kids who wanna learn to play the game.

Got this for my son's 6th birthday. He loved it! He'd been collecting Pokémon cards, but didn't really know how to play. This game made it easy and fun for him to learn and play with his friends.Only thing is I wish the game had been bilingual (English/French)

I bought this for my son's birthday. He's been into pokemon cards like any other children, but none of his friends play TCG and we found it so complex for young children to understand the procdss and rules. So this was perfect gift for kids like him. Pokemon Battle Academy breaks down the process and let the kids understand the rules smoothly. Of course, the three starter decks which is 180 cards will let them so excited too!

Trae todo lo que necesitas para iniciarte en el mundo de pokemon tcg. 3 mazos que inclusive las tarjetas vienen numeradas y con instructivos para saber como jugar. Traen un tablero de carton aceptable, que no es necesario pero ayuda a los mas pequeños a poder visualizar las reglas y seguirlas. Trae los tokens de daño que ayudan aunque si son de carton y baja calidad y una moneda que si esta de mejor calidad de plastico. En general muy bien en relacion a costo y lo que te dan.

Santa brought my son the 'My first pokemon" set (or whatever it's called) and enjoyed it a lot. It was easy for my 6 year old to play and we had a lot of fun. Until it got a little wet and the cards went black.So, I promised him a replacement and this was it. Great value for money. I found the other set very limited as the cards are only for use with that game. But this one is designed to build upon and the cards can be used in normal games. 3 decks, clear instructions, a cool board and some other bits and bobs made this a great gift for my boy. The rules are a lot more complicated than I expected, but that's Pokemon I guess.

For someone new to the Pokemon trading card game, it can be difficult to know where to start. Most of the other sets sold out there are usually booster packs with a featured rare card or two, which is fine if you're looking to collect. But if you want to actually play the game, as my kids were looking to do, then this is a great place to start.The box comes with everything you need to play, including the play mat, coin, damage counters, instructions, and 3 beginner deck sets for you to start playing with right away. My kids loved them and the decks are well built for teaching/learning purposes.
