I have some neglected tips on some cues with flat spots on the tip. This tool was faster than anything else in my bag at removing material. It has the nickel profile shape and the dime profile shape. I go for the dime profile personally. There isn't sandpaper to wear out, it is metal with a texture. It is pretty aggressive and removes material fast. It is light and inexpensive but the cutting surface seems like it would be durable. Very happy with the ease of use.

This review is for the "Pool Cue Tips Shaper, Pool Stick Tip Repair Tool Versatile Pool Cue Tips Replacement Kit Billiards Accessories Pool Cue Accessories for Every Enthusiast" that I acquired via the Vine program. I have Last4Ever tip tool that I use at home for my cues and was hoping this would be a decent second one that I could carry in my pool bag for use at the pool halls. Unfortunately, this one looks like the Last4Ever but is actually a very cheaply made copy. It's much lighter in weight and not finished nearly as well. It does seem to have the proper radius on the scuffers for dime and nickel tip shapes and seems to work OK, but I don't expect this to last long. For a quarter of the price of the actual product it's serviceable and I won't lose any sleep over it if I lose it, but it'll never replace the original.

Bought this to shape my layered cue tips (12.5mm). Has both nickel and dime sides. Coarse sides made of metal instead of sandpaper so very durable. Works perfectly and easily. Grit is just nice. Not too fine so it removes material fast but also not too coarse for good control. Honestly as good as the infamous Last4ever cue tip tool at a fraction the price! Highly recommended as the only cue tip shaper that u need.
