This Posi Lock PMW-1 manual puller set consists of a three-jaw puller with a 1-ton capacity (model 102), a two-jaw puller with a 1-ton capacity (model 202), a three-jaw puller with a 2-ton capacity (model 103), and a two-jaw puller with a 2-ton capacity (model 203). It is suitable for extracting shaft-fitted parts, including bearings, wheels, bushings, gears, and pulleys. The jaws of each puller are made of investment-cast steel for strength and durability. The set comes with a padded carrying case measuring 12 x 17 x 5 inches/305 x 432 x 127 mm (W x L x H) for convenient storage. (W is width, the horizontal distance from front to back; L is length, the horizontal distance from left to right; H is height, the vertical distance from bottom to top.) This manual puller set is suitable for extracting shaft-fitted parts in a range of industries, including automotive, HVAC, wind power, and others.

Pullers have three main parts—the center bolt, gripping jaws, and T-handle—and can be operated manually or hydraulically. The jaws of the puller form a claw that grips the edge of the gear, which is pulled off the shaft when the screw is turned. Pullers are typically configured with two or three jaws and can be constructed of iron, steel, or other alloyed metal. Pullers can be used manually or can be powered by a hydraulic cylinder, adding speed and precision, and reducing the physical labor required for pulls. With a hydraulic puller, compressed air is forced through the cylinder by a pump that is either connected by hose to the puller or is integral to it. Pullers are used in hundreds of applications in the automotive, agricultural, and manufacturing industries, among others.
