Rated less simply because they labelled the sides wrong. This simple mistake had 3 different mechanic shops confused and costed me an arm and a leg. The callipers themselves are outstanding. Packaging, however….TLDR: Double check the tag labelling which side IS CORRECT BEFORE INSTALLATION. I hope this saves someone else an extra $X00 dollars in grief. 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

Bracket was off by a lil bit so i had to buy new brackets. Also the red paint chips easy. I would’ve given 4 stars if the brackets fit. Performance wise i dont notice a difference not the best in my opinion. I also have the power stop drilled/slotted rotors and brakes so idk if its the caliper or rotor kit thats at fault for poor braking performance

I installed these on an AWD Aztek (GM minivan platform) which came with single piston calipers. The AWD minivan/Aztek/Rendezvous rotors are 300mm diameter, FWD are 275mm and the rotors for these calipers are 303mm.Many different vehicles use the same front knuckles as the 06-12 Impala that these are intended for so they are a direct bolt-on upgrade provided you have 16" or larger rims. Obviously you will need the pads and rotors for the Impala too. I stayed with ceramic pads and non-drilled or slotted rotors as that is OE for the Impala. In my case the brake hose fits fine other than being a little close to the bleeder screw, so close in fact that a closed end wrench won't fit but the rubber dust caps did go on.So far so good, The red color looks great through the open spoke Pontiac wheels and they work well.My only complaint with these is that the copper crush washers for the banjo bolt brake fitting were just loose in the plastic bag with the caliper itself so they were hard to find and remove and one was even bent slightly. It would have been better if they were in their own small bag taped or zip tied to the caliper, or even stuffed down in one of the pistons.1 year update: These are still great. As the pads bedded in they kept getting better. When I drive another vehicle for a while and then again drive the 'tek I invariably try and thanks to the seat belt fail to throw myself into the windshield at the first stop, not because of the brakes being grabby but because the pedal is firmer and the travel and force required for a given amount of braking is so much less. Granted this won't apply if you are putting these on the intended vehicle. Also the rotors and ceramic pads I used and recommend are Nakamoto sold by AM Autoparts

Fantastic replacement calipers. Quality red powdercoat finish on these guys and cheaper than some remanufactured options that charge you a core fee. I put these babies on my 2001 Grand Prix since they bolt on right away with proper rotors and fare a solid improvement over the stock one piston calipers.Comes with everything you need to do a brake job (minus pads and rotors), was shipped securely and quickly. If you're in need for new calipers, go with this brand. They left me with a big smile at the end of the day.
