Used this on my Harley twin cam, worked great, easy to get the band out after use. I was able to do the job by myself without concern. Quality looks good and I think it will last longer than me (as long as I don’t lend it out...) I’m very happy with it.

I liked that it wasn’t really deep, I’ve only used it to install a piston in a Honda Atv which work very well. As in a previous review about it being painted I had to remove the paint before I used it. All in all it did what it was meant to do.

i am the shop technician for an automotive training school. I purchased this item as an upgrade to our tool inventory. I was pleasantly surprised to find that several students told me how easy it was to use, and the exercise went without a hitch. No more broken rings.... at least for now.

Works awesome, worked first try every time for me. No messing around fighting with it. I used lots of assembly lube, and was able to push the pistons in by handCon: the box has the label on the bottom! So definitely still gets 5 starsUpdate: Tried it vs blue line or whatever Snap-On's brand is. I like this one better! The other one was the worm gear style clamp, and the upper compression ring kept slipping past it and getting caught at the top of the block. Not an issue with this one if you hold the tool from the band, not the pliers. I'm not a pro, but both race engines I've built now are happily performing, and I even pulled the pistons on one and found that the rings held well in place while going in.
