These sketch pad are of good quality, just the right thickness and you can still trace with a lit background. Another main reason I like these pads is the size. Due to the way I scan and do my artwork, my fussy printer is difficult to adjust to certain specific sizes, so with the 9 x 12, I can cut it down to 8.5 x 11" to print off artwork for coloring or for finished art of that size. I have not been able to find quality drawing paper that is 8.5 x 11, so at least with this paper, I can manually cut it down. Even though some drawing pad descriptions may state they are 8.5 x 11, this is including the perforated tab that you rip off when you rip the sheet out, so the final sheet size really isn't the size many manufacturers state.

Perfect for fine point sharpie drawing that I enjoy doing. Not so big and unwieldy that you can't use the pad. It is small enough in thickness that you can hold it wasily.

Nice paper for drawing and sketching

Was very reluctant to buy a sketchpad online because I prefer feeling the paper texture when buying. But this sketchbook was great. I bought it primarily for pencil work (2b pencil) but I also used it for water colour and it handles those well too. With pencil the only thing is that its textured paper, so it won't give a soft smooth result if thats what you're looking for.Besides that, size and weight are good. And each sheet has a perforation on top so it's easy to tear off.
