I bought this specifically for the blade locking mechanism which I like since it's so much easier to change blades. The lock on mine is very tight, however, and it takes a little fiddling to get it to lock on the blade. I think more usage will ease that issue. The other thing I like is the appearance which is so much better than most box openers. Feels good in the hand too, but is a little heavy at about 6.2 oz. which takes a little of the joy out of all-day-carry. It has a thumb push stud for opening, but the joint is so tight that Samson may be frustrated trying to use it. Despite these minor (for me) issues, I still like it and use it every day.

I have an older one that I have been using for several years I use it on a daily basis from opening letters to opening boxes anything that I need a razor blade to cut I use this little knife I love it to death I gave this one to a friend of mine on his 66th birthday he's always complaining that he doesn't have a good knife to do what he needs to do so I got him this one with the with the sheath checked it out put some extra blades in there package it for him he was thrilled he now wears it on his belt he always has it with him he hasn't lost it yet so things are all well and good with it
