I hadn't considered an indoor window lock would be made of pure plastic! What? I was really disappointed when I opened this up to discover its made of cheap plastic. It just wouldn't be difficult or expensive to have at least some basic metal skeleton for security. Unbelievably cheap and sad this is even sold as a lock! I would not buy again, and would not recommended.

You might as well use those white plastic forks you can buy from the dollar store because that's basically what this plastic is made out of. It's also so poorly made the lock feels like its going to break every time you latch and unlatch it. Absolutely terrible product

I seriously thought I would have to replace my whole window when the lock broke off. It was in my toddlers bedroom. My husband told me to check Amazon for replacement parts and this lock was so easy to install. Like new!

Looked cheap but it fits and my windows lock. I'll need to wait a few years to tell you if they will last 30 years like my old window locks. I used the old screws to ensure a good fit. It worked. My windows lock. Worth it for now. I used only the slider pieces, The stable brackets were not broken on my window. I let those two alone, "If it ain't broke.... " Thanks

Je pensais acheter une barrure solide, il n'en est rien. Faite de plastique, elle semble très fragile et je ne pense pas qu'elle résistera à un usage fréquent.Par chance, je l'ai installé sur une fenêtre du 2e étage donc je n'ai pas de crainte qu'un voleur passera par là. Don't make the same mistake I did. This thing is cheap plastic. A stiff breeze would break it, you shouldn't trust your window security to it. Look for the die-cast metal ones instead.
