Good brush overall, in general the 4050 series is something I would recommend.

This Princeton Heritage Series 4050 Round 12 is very similar to a Kolinsky. It's a high quality brush for far less money than a natural hair Kolinsky. It's soft, holds water and paint, springs back nicely, and keeps a pointy tip.

You used to be able to buy a genuine sable for a fair price but now most brushes are synthetic. That being said, the brush is decent. I still prefer my genuine grumbacher sable but it's wearing out. I wish Princeton would produce a genuine affordable sable. I'll still use this brush but I may try a different line next time.
