Horrible quality, three big clapms broken, had to buy a different kind clamp from parts store. Used different tool to tighten the new style clamp, the clamp bended the tool. It's funny

the little rods kept falling out, but it wasn't really an issue. it cut the boot clamp very well and it wasn't difficult to figure it out how to use it. not sure if it came with instructions, didnt read em anyways. my co-workers and me were laughing the whole time while i was using the tool cuz i kept having to stop and put the rods back in lol. either way we were all surprised when it cut it and crimped it. kept the tool for future use.

Does the job perfectly fine but would more appreciate if they can make the middle flat tooth in the T shape Clamp a little bit elevated with more gap in the jaw in close position

Second kit I have purchased. I have one in the garage but wanted to carry one in my trailer for my Side by Side in case I needed to do a CV boot while out camping

I get it, you get what you pay for. In this case, it was a total failure. I initially got the box with a missing tool. I was okay with that since I didn't feel like I needed the other tool. Unfortunately things I needed ended up breaking on me not even after the third time I tried using the metal straps. The metal straps it came with didn't even last very long and the tool that it came with could not even cut through it anymore when I had to shorten the length. Also the gloves it came with ended up ripping right away. I definitely do not recommend getting this product!

I used these to change a cv boot on a range rover.....they did the job sort of, but the clamp didn't get as tight as I would have liked, the tools themselves are cheap feeling and not of the highest quality. The other issue is if my axle was still in my truck, there would have been no room to work with the tool, that being said, that's not really the tools fault

I bought this tool kit not understanding how to use and when I received it there were no instructions. The 2 tools are for different types of clamps: the pliers are for crimping (slide the band into its tightest locking position then crimp the head to tighten) and band (the type of bands in the kit). The band tool took a little getting use to (watching YouTube videos) but was easy to use once all the steps are understood. Unfortunately I wasted a couple clamps trying to figure it out before seeking out a couple videos

I was OffRoading and torn the dust boot off of my front drive shaft.Pros:- Relatively Cheap- Seem to be solid enough toolsCons:- No Instructions on use- Not the best qualitySo I was replacing the Slip Boot on my front drive shaft and found that I could not complete the job without this tool. I had several options from getting a beefier single plier to this two tool unit. I have to say that I am very happy that I choose to purchase both tools.I was able to use the pliers to clamp the forward most ring. However, this was not without much effort. This tool does not allow for very much leverage and the steel the ring was made of was solid OEM part. So it took a lot of attempts to finally get it crushed enough to tighten up the ring. Other pliers, or should I say more expensive pliers have leverage holes that you can put in a breaker bar to get more torque. That said I was unable to fit the tool in to do the rear ring. So I tried out the other banding tool. Which actually worked like a charm. As mentioned I had never used either of these tools before and had to do a quick YouTube search to learn how to use them. The pliers were straight forward enough but the banding tool not so much. For this hopefully one time repair. These tools did the job, however, if I had to do this again not sure if I would choose these tools again. While they worked .. just not certain about the quality. They felt like that might break in my hands. However, they did not and did complete the job and that is something.
