The Radial ProAV2 is a passive stereo direct box specifically developed with the audio/video integrator in mind. The ProAV2 features a variety of stereo inputs, greatly simplifying signal management. To eliminate the need for various adapters, a 'Swiss Army' array of connections are provided, including 1/4" for instruments, RCA and 1/8" connectors for consumer electronics and computers, and a +4dB XLR Outputs for professional systems. The ProAV2's front panel connectors can also be used as thru-puts to allow multiple patch points. Custom wound transformers are employed that are able to withstand exceptionally hot levels while maintaining linearity from 20Hz to 18.5kHz. Transformer isolation adds the benefit of eliminating ground loops that cause audio hum and buzz and video hum bars or snow. A -15dB pad is provided to tame hot signals and the ground lift eliminates hum and buzz caused by ground loops. If you do live sound for events,

I got a per of Yamaha HS-8 studio monitor speakers not knowing they would require another device for work correctly with the PC. After watching many reviews I settled for the Radial Pro AV2. A wonderful piece of hardware once the instructions were read.

Although this did not solve my issue, this thing is built like a literal tank! High quality for sure. It does reduce the volume on your line though. It is way over-priced for sure.

I have tried many other DIs, I had the mono version, now I can have my click and reference tracks in stereo and the main signal in stereo for web casting and live. Expensive but I do not see another solution out there that will allow to keep my PC plugged in. I tried on battery and did experience dead battery in a show after intermission... Delivery was as expected.

I was skeptical based on price. I stand corrected, it’s great.

This is easily one of the best purchase I have made after years of dealing with SEVERE ground loop issues between my PC (which I use for audio-related hobbies) and my externally powered studio monitors. When I say severe, I don't mean a minor 60 Hz hum that you can only hear while there is no audio signal. What I mean is an extreme angry hornets nest-level of buzz that is VERY loud and not part of the source signal. The buzzing is clearly tied to the PC's power load, as the whine fluctuates with the render speed of my video card (a power hungry Titan Xp). It's so obnoxious that I rarely used my external studio monitors (a simple pair of Mackie MR5's) and opted for studio headphones.I cannot express the feeling I felt the moment I cranked the PC the full tilt, cranked the volume to max, pressed the ground raise button on the output side of the ProAV2 and heard.... silence... It was music to my ears.I also love the input options available on the ProAV2. I can use the device in my PC set-up, or grab it and use it with my DJ set-up.

Etwas schwer, aber dafür sicher unkaputtbar. Bin begeistert.

This is a must-have for every hissing problem you get when recording those pre-amped synths/guitars. Basically THE swiss army knife of any good studio.

These boxes are a little pricey but once I installed a couple of these in my home studio I found out they are worth every penny.Super quiet and very musical. There is a ground lift on both sides of the box. Great for unbalanced to balanced lines

These are some of the best direct boxes that I own. I have several of varying degrees of quality. This is a substantial piece of gear. It is stereo, so it can do the job of two mono DI boxes, offsetting most of the cost increase. The sound is clean and clear. I haven't noticed any distortion of the audio coming through the DI box like I have with several of my cheaper models. I frequently use this with a computer or sources other than an instrument. The composite inputs and the 1/8" TRS inputs are great to keep from having to use adapters on the cables. The only con if I had to come up with one is this box is heavy. This does not weigh on my decision to purchase another one, but to some people it may matter.Highly recommended!
