I used these as an upgrade to the clamps that came with my Starlink standing seam metal roof mount kit. The clamps that came with it were a simple box shape and prone to slip on the inverted V panel overlaps. The “hook” design on these with a gripper plate on the opposite side makes these have a secure and fairly foolproof attachment to the roof. I think I’ll sleep better not having to wonder if my $500 Starlink dish is gonna be laying on the ground 20’ below the roof the first time the wind blows. The only nit I have is that there are 2 top mount holes for each clamp, but the kit only comes with one bolt for each. I knew that when purchasing, but it would be nice to not have to visit the hardware store to complete the install.

These are really a great product to use when installing solar panels on a metal standing seam roof. They will not slip when they are properly tightened snug to the seam and will hold quite a bit of weight.
