Original equipment cable was shieved , this cable is bare, and could wear through the parking brake cable tubes and… The outer cable cover bushing was too large to fit into the parking brake cable tubes. Returned. Do not buy.

Even though Amazon and other places say that this fits a Mk4 VW (Golf Jetta New Beetle), it most certainly DOES NOT.The end that inserts into the metal tube under the car on the OE part is 10.0mm diameter; this one is 12.0mm. Like, there's just no way.It's insane that Raybestos keeps getting to claim that it fits when it's not even remotely close. Also, the ends are nothing like the OE ends so the fit of those (if you were to "make" it fit into the metal tube) would be crap-tastic as well.

Does not fit 2004 GTI, the metal end does not fit into the guide tube.

Supposed to fit 2002 Golf, but bead size at caliper was wrong and other end will not insert into body cable guide.
