I love this set so much!I will say up front that I haven’t really had a chance to test the large jar opener that’s caused some contention in other reviews. I waited for awhile before reviewing this in the hopes that I’d get a chance, but we just don’t really have jars like that in my house. But the other tools have been so helpful, especially the bottle/can opener.My mother doesn’t have the strength to open bottles and I’ve been experimenting with longer nails, so opening cans and tabs has been tricky for me. This thing has changed our lives and made everything so much easier! It does so much and it helps us a lot around the house, and in my opinion, this whole set is worth the price for this tool alone.

My elderly mother moved in with me a few months ago. She has the hardest time getting bottles and cans open. I thought about it a little and figured I could find her something to open different items. I ran across this three-piece set thought that it would work well for her (and me since there was a wine opener in the lot).When the items arrived, I showed my mom how to use the bottle opener. There are 4 different functions for this item. She can open a bottle, pop a can open (it has two options for this function) and open a root beer/beer top. This has worked well for her, and she keeps it in a drawer that is hers in the kitchen, so she always knows where to find it.The wine opener works really good. It has a little knife that cuts the seal on the bottle and the corkscrew part does a good job with opening a bottle of wine.Now the third opener, the larger red piece does not open regular jars. I tried a pickle jar, and it will not catch. The teeth are not made for this kind of jar. It did, however, open a miracle whip jar very easily. The plastic top has ridges that allow the teeth on the opener to grab and catch. This is my least favorite item of the three. I don't think this will be very useful. I thought it would open any jar and that is not the case. The size of this pieces is also bulky feeling.Overall, the set is still worth the price for the other two functional items so I'm not disappointed. It also gives my mother a chance to stay more independent, instead of me having to open her items for her, which is what I wanted.

I got these because I have very weak upper body strength and arthritic hands. I cannot open certain things at all and collect various tools to help. There isn’t much I can say that’s positive about this set. None of the handles are shaped for arthritic fingers and hands. The large jar opener is horrible to grip and didn’t work on the jar I tried it on. I opened the corkscrew to see if its handle had a comfortable grip. Nope. I am really puzzled why these are advertised for a targeted group but don’t perform well at all. I absolutely would NOT recommend this set.

This set is great for people with limited hand strength. The paddle opener has 2 sizes of v to open different size jars. It gives you better leverage. Great if your going to be traveling and need to open something. The bottle opener works great too. Nice and thick for an easy grip. And the corkscrew works great too. Mostly made of plastic with some metal reinforcements to get the job done. Great kitchen set.

I am quite impressed with both of these devices, the jar opener, and the bottle opener. They said also comes with a corkscrew/cap opener, which worked fine.The large jar opener has 2 “V” shaped mechanisms to fit almost any size jar! This design feature really impressed me, because previous jar openers. I’ve had only had one size. This is great, because it can accommodate some very very large jars, which is some thing I need. It grips the jar lid sufficiently and opens it with a twist.The bottle, cap, opener, or some thing I didn’t realize even existed and I absolutely love it. I sometimes struggle opening bottles of carbonated beverages. This makes it so very easy, it is sized perfectly, and makes opening a stubborn bottle with a twist top effortless!!This is a must have set for people like me who struggle with opening certain types of containers. It makes life so much easier when you can just pick it up out of the kitchen drawer and open jars and bottles without having to ask someone for help. I’m really happy with both of these.

The bottle opener and can opener are useful, once I figured out and explained how to use it properly to my elderly mom who I bought these for. The corkscrew opener probably won't get too much use as both of us don't really drink that much wine, and I honestly have NO IDEA what the larger dust bin like tool is supposed to do or how it is supposed to work.All I know is it has very sharp teeth/edges that I think everyone, not just kids, have to be careful of and I fail to see how it is going to work to grip any sort of standard mason jar/glass bottle.The bottle opener and pull tab opener are just okay. I think 2/5 STARS is probably all I can really give this set, and that is mostly for the bottle opener. The other two items, especially the dust bin item, I really am at a loss as to what that is supposed to do and how it is supposed to work.

These are useful to open jars, bottles etc. A helpful tool around the house. It will even be better if it’s all in one rather than 3 separate pieces for space saving purposes.

The jar opener comes with instructions that's it's not for metal lids, which makes mason jars pretty much out. It pretty much just scratches the metal. I found it works ok on plastic if you press down pretty hard while doing it using the V section, Not sure where I'd use the U shape. If your issue was just hand strength, but you still had some strength for pushing down it might be beneficialThe twist off bottle opener works for a very small range of bottle sizes, The hollow end works for getting a hold of tabs to get them lifted, and then you use the other end to pry it off, and that works ok, and the cap pop off end works ok.the wine opener worked better than I expected, and it is metal, but it's a two step lever action, and most inexpensive wine openers are an easier, one step operation. I might stick this in my camping gear just because it has a small footprint, but easier than those cork screws you just have to manhandle the cork out with.Overall, it's just ok.

I tried 3 different jars that my oxo opener has 0 issues opening. This red one failed in every single case.After I opened the classico sauce lid with the grooves, this red thing was able to kind of grip it. Same can't be said for an opened olive jar with a smooth lid.Complete trash. Even if it's free, it's not worth taking. You'll have to deal with the hassle of taking it out of the package, disposing of the package, being let down, and ultimately throwing this out.negative 10 stars.

I found this jar and bottle opener worked very well for me. It’s nice to have an aid when I have no one home to help me open the jars. Sometimes they can be so stubborn to open. The cork screw opener is basic and actually would be great to bring on vacation in your checked bag if you are a wine drinker.I will definitely purchase a set for my parents.

The jar and bottle opener worked really well for me. But I didn't really get any of the other functions to work as well. In the end I only really wanted the jar and bottle opener so I was still happy in the end.
