My application is at a remote shop with environmental comfort and flood mitigation systems. Power is solar to batteries with a limited run time if everything is allowed to operate.The LED status at a glance is the bonus feature of this relay.This relay has been allocated to the batteries that power ventilation for fresh air and humidity control - important when near the dew point.Strictly for comfort, the remote turns the system on/off at my will and when left on prevents over discharging the batteries.

I grabbed this for a DIY power station and am reasonably happy, but I would not recommend it for automotive usage for reasons I'll elaborate below.First, the documentation included with the product is very poor. My unit came with absolutely NO labels on the device-- just a plastic box with holes for the two buttons and 5 LEDs, all unlabeled. I had to write what each button and light does using the images on this listing page as reference. Now the product has a very amateurish DIY-look which I'm not happy with. The case is also not water resistant.Second, the listing photos as of writing states "Applicable for 12V/24V Car battery", however the actual product is strictly 12V only, with an input voltage range of 6-18V.The product senses the battery voltage and disables the remote buttons if the voltage is >13.3V or You must open the hood and manually press the ON button on the unit which completely defeats the purpose of the remote controls. The high and low voltage thresholds are not user-configurable, which makes matters worse.I installed this in a ~2kWh DIY power station so I can use the remote to remotely switch on/off the inverter and DC loads, and for this it works alright. I can't comment on long term reliability but I would advise against this for vehicles and other critical systems. The product has no safety certification, UL or otherwise.
