I have purchased 1 30 amp version and 1 40 amp version so far both work great, all the feature work very well, charges quick, love the Bluetooth connectivity lots of details, highly recommend. Have not required technical support yet so did not rate that.

Everything worked great out of the box. Have 2 of these they work flawlessly. For the price and all of the features offered, they are hard to beat. Very intuitive peace of equipment easy to set up and operate.

I purchased the Renogy MPPT solar charge controller with high hopes, but unfortunately, it has turned out to be a highly disappointing experience both in terms of the product performance and customer service.Product Issues1. Faulty Battery Detection – Despite trying it with three different batteries (including a brand new one), the controller continually registers them as faulty, indicating a serious flaw in the detection system.2. Solar Panel Recognition – The controller no longer recognizes my solar panels, meaning no power transfer to charge the batteries, essentially rendering the product useless.3. Fragile Build – While trying to follow the troubleshooting steps provided by Renogy’s customer support, four connector screws broke, showcasing the fragility of the product.Customer Service Experience1. No Direct Phone Line – Renogy lacks a direct phone line for customer support, which could have facilitated quicker resolution.2. Prolonged Email Correspondence – It's been over a month of back-and-forth through emails with the Renogy team, where they continuously ask me to test something new, asking for videos as proof every single time. This elongated process has been draining and painfully slow.3. No Resolution – Despite my patience and the time invested in performing all their requested tests, they neither agreed to take the product back for repairs nor to issue a refund.ConclusionUnfortunately, it feels like the protracted email process is a strategy to wear down customers to the point of giving up on seeking a solution.I have reached my limit and decided to discard this product, buying a new one from a different company. It's disheartening that Renogy does not stand by their product nor do they prioritize customer satisfaction. I strongly advise potential buyers to consider other alternatives with robust customer support.

The first one failed - this happens. Took quite a bit of convincing to have a new one sent under warranty. I felt those assigned to provide tech support were undertrained/not experienced. I have done a lot of trouble-shooting, both with household (AC) and automotive (DC) set-ups. The process of elimination is very simple (I had another controller) - and I did this before ever contacting Renogy. The questions and picture requests seemed amateur to me.That being said - the replacement product performed fine in my RV set-up with 400W of solar and 300AH battery pack - all Renogy products.I plan to add one more 100AH battery when it becomes available on Amazon.

Using it with 150 watt panel to charge LiFePO4 60 aH battery. Has plenty of capability for when I upgrade the panels and battery. One thing I did not realize until it arrived is that the 40 Amp spec refers to maximum charging current only. Load current is limited to 20 amps. Gives small but useful amounts of charge current even on cloudy days or early morning/late evening, FAR better than a PWM controller. There are two apps available for the bluetooth module. Both work well, the connection is solid and it works over a fairly good distance (I didn't measure, but it works when I am inside and the system is in the back yard) One app (Renogy BT) has more detail and allows more setting changes, but the other is good if you just want to know what is happening. Unlike some other brands, this one you can set to charge LiFePO4 batteries without having to buy extra modules. If you need custom charging parameters, you can set them in the Renogy BT app
