How to use

1.Plug the adapter cable 2pin part into the headphone jack of the walkie-talkie;

2.Plug the mobile phone headset into the adapter cable headset jack, turn on the walkie-talkie;

3.Click the call button on the headset(if your headset has this button), indicator light on walkie-talkie turn red, then you can use the microphone on the headset to speak;

4.Long press the call button on the headset (> 1S)(if your headset has this button), indicator light on walkie-talkie turn off, this time walkie-talkie go to standby mode;

5.After using mobile phone headset for walkie-talkie calls, pay attention to close the launch in time;

6.Adapter cable suitable for Retevis: RT21, RT22, RT24, RT7, RT27, H777 six models;

7.Avoid to use larger power and strong signal walkie-talkie, so as not to affect the normal use of the product;

8.Applicable to VOX launch, but depends on the sensitivity of the headset microphone.

NOTE: 1. Adapter cable ONLY suitable for Retevis: RT21, RT22, RT24, RT7, RT27, H-777 six models. If your walkie talkies is NOT in the list, please do not buy.

2. Avoid to use larger power( Better under 2 W) and strong signal walkie-talkie, so as not to affect the normal use of the product.

3. Applicable to VOX launch, but depends on the sensitivity of the headset microphone.

4. Press the call button on the headset(if your headset with this button), indicator light on walkie-talkie turn red, then you can use the microphone on the headset to speak.

BUT We suggest you use the walkie-talkie PTT to transit. Because everytime you Press the call button on the headset to transmit, you must Long press the call button on the headset(10-15S) to make sure to stop transmitting after over speak. Then the indicator light on walkie-talkie turn off, this time walkie-talkie go to standby mode.

As others have noted, if you plug a regular headset without a mic in, it puts your device into transmit or resets the device. I assume this is so the talk button on the mic works.I bought it to monitor the net, so this is an issue for me as I wanted to use it with my headphones. Works fine with my wired mobile earbuds though.

Works for RT17 radios IF you use a 4-conductor plug. 3-conductor prevents the radio from doing anything. with a proper 4-conductor plug you do not need a separate PTT switch, the headphones work fine, it picks up the mic, but requires you to hit the radio's PTT button. Does not take the whole channel like some reviews, works exactly as you would expect.

I bought it for my Baofeng UV-5R, and it work perfectly! At least with my Sony ExtraBass MDR XB55AP headphone. I don't know about the others guys!?Maybe it's their headphone!? For sure, you need to put headphone with a mic on it! I don't think it gonna work without it!

Works great and is compatible, however, only good if you dont intend on outputting. if combined with a 3.5mm PTT for phones. will not work. also, sidenote, Walker razors you can only hear from one side of earmuff due to poor design in headphones. swapped over to Peltors earmuffs and both sides work perfectly fine.

If you do not have a compatible head set this will not work. Radio was constantly starting when the push to talk button was pressed.
