Your cart is empty.From The Rock Slide: We met Ariel Posen and Joey Landreth through our website where they started out as customers. Joey eventually sent us a copy of their album "Let it Lie". When we listened to it we were floored by 4 part vocal harmonies, acoustic, dobro, and straight up rock with a hint of country. It's no wonder they are Juno Award winners and touring internationally. Over the years, we have become friends and recently developed a signature slide for each of them. Ariel's guitar slide, like Joey's, is a stretched out version of our original small brass balltip. The balltip adds even more weight for long sustain and gives him the ability to play on the tip. 17.5mm x 59mm Ring Size 7-8.5

I play some lap-style, squareneck, Dobro and have been messing around with bottleneck slide for a while. I have never been able to get the accurate intonation I get with a Stevens lap steel slide with my glass bottleneck slide. With the balltip Rock Slide Ariel Posen slide I can accurately angle the string contact to get all the notes I want to hear. As far as fit; I have fairly average-sized hands, maybe leaning a little to the small side, and this slide fits snuggly and covers my entire pinky. So, I can't bend my pinky like I could if it only covered one knuckle, but I'm OK with that. I must admit I like the sound of a heavy glass slide better than the heavy brass sound, but I think the trade-off for better fit and intonation are worth it.

I was a pretty mediocre slide guitar player until I discovered the Ariel Posen signature. This is the only brass slide that fits snugly on my ring finger. Having the slide fit snugly vastly improved my intonation accuracy. I can't stand slides that wiggle around on my finger.The cut on the underside to accommodate the bend in you finger helps a lot, too. Many slides are level around the entire perimeter, and that doesn't work well for me either. I keep two of these in my gig bag at all times in case I misplace one during a gig - it happens!

Slide is great. The aged brass is total crap though. It’s just regular brass painted black that comes off through regular use. Super strange. Buy any other version of this slide but not the aged brass
