favourite mic, easy to use, never have to charge and great sound quality. Along with having an excellent warranty as mine broke 2 years in and I got a replacement completely free of charge (only shipping paid). Good overall!!

In comparison to the old VMP, for me the biggest upgrade it the switch to a rechargeable battery that I never have to fiddle around with.For the price I would have liked it to come with a wind filter in the box instead of sold separately.Sound quality is perfect for my uses. The high-pass filters and +20db features are nice to have too.

I bought this and the sound is amazing but my LB1 battery that is supposed to hold 70 hours of charge, fails almost always. I will charge it overnight, and the next day it works for barely an hour, then is dead. I know a replacement would have been smart but I was away when the package arrived, and I am outside of replacement so now.. not sure what to do. The battery fails all the time, it's really frustrating!

I was looking at getting the VideoMic Pro, but noticed that the Plus had come out not too long ago. I decided to grab the Plus, and this thing definitely juices up the audio. My only feedback is that every time I start recording there's a sound at the beginning of the clip - I believe due to the automatic startup on the mic. Other than that, great quality vs. the DSLR built-in mic.
