Just the right size, just the right strength.I grow Many starts for my vegetable / flower garden each year. This is not a super heavy tray, but my early seedlings don't need that. They will hold 4" - 5" pots of tomatoes (I consider that the largest/heaviest pot I use), If you use seed starting soil, Not Gardening soil. Seed starting soil is lighter, has water retention ingredients such as peat, coco coir, perlite or vermiculite. This also keeps the pot fairly light weight and is better for starting plants.

It always drove me nuts that the flimsy seedling trays I had would last only one or two seasons, cracks, splits so easily and folds when lifting if having a lot of plants in the tray. This is much sturdier and thicker than the standard 1020 trays I can get locally.Just for info., I weighed a standard tray and one of these roofarmer trays. Turns out a standard tray is 119g, these roofarmer trays are 276g, meaning these are 2.3 times more material. Looking forward to using these for many years.

These are so sturdy! They’re seriously top notch. Highly recommend getting these for any gardening need. They fit all my seed plug trays well, they are sturdy enough that I can carry all kinds of things in them, they don’t twist or bend and they’re just awesome.

These trays are solid! Heavy and thick. I just threw out all of my flimsy, thin menards/walmart watering trays and replaced them with these.Definitely worth the money, fast delivery (huge box). Will order again if necessary, will recommend to everyone, especially on my gardening channel.

I bought these hoping they would work for my indoor plant starts, I honestly wasn’t expecting them to be as thick and sturdy as they are. Definitely worth the price. I will be buying more for sure

I have bought a great many of these seed starter cells and trays off of a Chinese discount web site for a much cheaper price, but they are no where as near as robust. I grow approx 6000 plants every year so I use a lot of trays. I was so happy with theses trays that I purchased another batch.

I do a lot of seed starting. These are a good quality tray that will last years. They are standard 10x20 size so they work well for my seed starting set up.

Thought the "sturdy" in the title was a sales pitch but they it is actually a valuable selling point. They are really sturdy. Thicker than any I have bought before. Ten pack is more than I need. Would not want to give friends junk but I am definitely OK with sharing these as they are quite good.

Update: They were great during the early seedling stages no complaints. As the plantsgrew and I up-potted the weight became much more in each tray. Several have cracked dead centre causing me to drop trays full of seedlings when it happens and losing seedlings. I still think they are better than most trays but you need a hand underneath when moving, pulling in and out once the plants are closer to transplant time. I switched to carrying them in and out on a tote lid to help eliminate issues. But moving them on and off that lid still more cracked. Most of the cracking happened after being outside so perhaps the sunlight played an issue in breakdown only one cracked before hardening off started. Overall they are better than others I have tried.I have ordered two sets. They are for sure sturdy. Any gardener who has used a 10x20 tray knows they are usually flimsy and not sturdy. These you can hold with one hand (See pic) full of plants with no fear of breaking. They are thicker but heat mats still work with them. They have a nice thick border along the top edge which I think is how they stay so sturdy. They have these ridges which provide stability but also work great for bottom watering too. The first set arrived not properly packed in a large box with only dented corners, the sleeve was ripped, and there was what appeared to be hard water stains in them and dirt in the lower trays but not the top one. I thought they may have been used this is why 4* vs 5*. The second set arrived properly packed with packing material in an appropriately sized box and no stains or dirt. The sleeve around them was still ripped apart. I am not sure if the warehouse people are grabbing them that way leading to the breakage. The reality is these are by far the sturdiest 10x20 trays I have purchased and I am putting plants and dirt in them anyway. I still would prefer they arrive looking new and not like someone attacked them first. But they are great trays and I would and did buy again. My Luvcosy silicone seed starting trays fit perfectly in them too. Work on your packaging/packing to make sure they arrive like new and you will have a 5* product for sure. They are great trays and that is the bottom line. They work well and they will last for many years I am sure.
