I use this apron for all sorts of work, from grilling to bike repair, car maintenance, and gardening. It keeps your clothes clean and has pockets for just about any tool you might need.It is a robust, thick canvas, so it will be durable for tough jobs and last a long time. The shoulder straps are comfortable and adjustable.Solid product, I highly recommend it.

I love all the pockets, the tape measure clip, hammer loop, and other well thought out features. I can even fit a beer in a foam koozie in a pocket! The fabric will last a long time for me since I will be wearing this only occasionally. At 5'8 150 lbs. this fits me great. My girlfriend even complimented me on how good I look with it on (to play off Kenny Chesney's tractor song, she thinks my aprons sexy??)! Having a 30 waist I can even cross the straps between my shoulders, pass them through the grommets, take them behind my back at my waist, and still bring them around to secure in front with lots of strap to spare. I like the wider straps for how they disperse the weight of the loaded up apron (including that beer!) over a wider area to avoid becoming irritating after a while. But this is where the apron starts to disappoint.A cross retainer would be nice so the crossed straps could be passed over the head and position the straps for passing through the grommets. Like others have said in their reviews I wish the straps had buckles to secure them together. A 1.5 wide nylon strap does not tie well and makes for a bulky uncomfortable knot, especially if in front. So I can make a retainer from a scrap of leather or other material I have laying around and add buckles of some sort (I think I have a pair on a spare string trimmer shoulder strap that I can repurpose?). But then the buckles will not fit through the grommets. So either the grommets should be bigger, there should be some sort of loop/hook on the straps which could be secured to the grommets, or just leave the straps through the grommets all the time (which slightly complicates putting the apron on or taking it off).Would I get one of these again? Yes I would assuming that I could not find one that is better without needing to be modified once I received it. But if this lasts as well as I expect it will I will not need another one in my lifetime.

PROS: Nicely made and good looking apron, many pockets, slots and even a zippered compartment and spring clip hook, nice long strong and wide nylon tie straps with large solid reinforced rings, good size for general protection and light weight enough for even warm/hot weather uses. CONS: Material is thinner than expected and not really what I would consider "Heavy-Duty", it's perfect for occasional handyman chores, but, not quite up to daily industrial standards, especially the hammer loop which is very lightweight cloth that won't stand up to a framing hammers weight for long, (could have been a real metal loop like others). Overall decent apron for household and hobbiest use, would make a nice gift too.

I've only ever had one shop apron for mostly wood working and it was a cheap apron that I never really liked too much but I thought it got the job done just fine. That apron finally gave up on me recently so when I had the chance to get this one, I took it. I am just now realizing how big of a difference a nice apron can make when working. For starters, the material feels really heavy duty and at 22oz, I am not surprised by that. It was rolled up in plastic inside the package, and felt pretty stiff when I unrolled it. I just left it out for the night to let it settle a bit, and having worn it a couple times, it's feeling great now. The heavy cotton with double stitching and brass hardware make me feel this will last me a lifetime. As a note, I am not a professional woodworker by any stretch. It's a hobby and I probably average a few hours a week doing it so when I say a lifetime for me, that might be several years for a professional. It's comfortable to wear, which again, I am just now realizing how a well made apron can make a difference in that department. I didn't understand how uncomfortable my last apron was until I started to wear this one. It covers a good portion, too, from my chest down to just above my knees. I am 6' tall with fairly average proportions so your mileage may vary but I hope that gives you some idea how it will fit. It's got everything I need for pockets, pouches, etc. Tape measure clip, key clip and D-ring are all solid. Hammer loop, too. Deep side pockets are all separate which is great. If I were going to complain about anything, I would say some of the brass hardware was scuffed pretty badly on arrival and based on the undamaged plastic it was wrapped in, I can only assume this damage slipped past QC. I do not care in the slightest about that damage as it doesn't hurt the integrity of the apron, but if you do care, that is your heads up that it's a possibility.Overall, I really like this apron. It does everything I'd like and there are no real downsides from my point of view.

It’s an ok apron. I got it in tan so that there would be some light in the pockets to make it easier to see screws, drill bits, or other small item carried there. It has plenty of pockets and most of them are usable, but would have liked some large slash pockets too. The thing I’ll use most is the metal tape measure clip for hanging a tape measure. The thin metal is much easier to get a measuring tape on and off one handed. The leather that I see used on other aprons is much more difficult. The metal clip is riveted through only one layer of the cotton fabric and, in spite of their raving about the toughness of the cloth, I wonder how long the rivets will hold up if one carries a large tape measure every day.My biggest gripe is the straps. They want you to cross them behind your shoulders, thread them through the large grommets, then tie them behind your back. The straps are made of thin black webbing that is 1.5 inch wide, and it is very awkward to tie a knot behind your back and have it be easy to untie later. The straps are not long enough to continue them around to the front and tie them there. Other, similar, aprons I’ve seen have a cross patch that holds the straps in place where they cross on your back, and even better they have a two-part buckle on the straps that you can snap together behind your back and then quickly and easily unsnap it when you want out of the apron. That is something I’ll be retro fitting to this apron, but for it to be top rated it should have come with that.
