This is a good sweeping broom for most indoor surfaces. The crimped polymer bristles seem to make the bristles firmer than they otherwise would be, and together they can bend but have great memory of how they should be standing. Polymer bristles means you can still sweep around wet items unlike natural corn fiber bristles that absorb water and can't sweep. Even if you sweep up sticky debris you can wash this broom. There is enough of an angle to sweep along the floor's edge at the baseboard without rubbing the baseboard (dirty brooms rubbing against the wall would discolor it but this broom won't). It is light in weight because of the tubular steel handle but the handle is coated in plastic so it feels softer than a hard metal--comfortable. The bristle ends are flagged, which means they are split apart so they can catch and move finer dust particles with each sweeping stroke. This broom is slightly expensive for some people but to me it is well worth the money spent. store the broom by hanging it or standing it upside down so that you don't put weight on the bristles while it is being stored; that way the broom can more likely retain its original shape. The handle is a standard U.S. threaded handle so should you somehow break the handle you can just buy another handle. Also, Rubbermaid and Amazon sells just the head in case your handle is still good but your broom is worn out.
