Bought this to replace a 30cc gas trimmer that I struggled to keep running reliably. I'm impressed with the power this unit has and how light it is. I purchased a 7aH battery for it and I'm able to do my yard several times before I need to recharge.

I have a lot of tall grass and weeds to cut. I usually use my high power gas weedeater. Now it is to hot and dry so I bought this one. I'm actually pretty impressed by how well it cuts. It does go through a battery pretty fast. If you have a lot to do get some extra batteries.

Don't know about it's longevity but it's a real beast. Missing a couple screws fir the 2nd guard I believe but they're not needed. My soon to be 76yo wife is trimming waist high grass

Be careful when attaching the Grass Deflector (the black plastic shield). When I attached it as instructed and tightened the screw down firmly the slotted side of the deflector split. This part was not designed well - or the metal piece that holds the deflector on should have a less extreme shape so that the plastic deflector would not be so stressed. I had to call RYOBI and request a replacement deflector (under warranty) be sent. They got one to me very quickly. When I attached this one I added a stack of 3 lock washers between the underside of the metal attachment piece and the shield so that the slot on the other side was not stressed but I could still tighten the screw down as needed.
