I like the engraved quote and the antique brass finish. The compass is heavy and its pretty. With a green gem in the center holding the needle up. The only problem I had is the leather case is a little hard to open and close. To add this compass to your desk for something pretty to look at and read the beautiful quote from time to time it will look nice on your desk. Plus people will want to look at it and hold it in their hands and talk about it.Beautiful gift!

Very scratched. Over the writing...unfit to give as a gift...and the box it came in quoted price as 29$..yet selling on Amazon for over $50. Returned it

I thought this would come be a nice gift for someone so i ordered it. It works like any other compass It points to north all the time so its good to go. I'm not much on things with sayings on them but this has a nice one . It comes with a case for it made out of leather and indeed, I think a gift this will be'
