I had been using my good kitchen scissors for deadheading. I like the spring, the coiled ones often found in shears gets rusty and they are very hard to clean. I wanted smooth handles so they too would be easy to clean. They fit nicely in my hand, I am a woman with medium sized hands.

I bought these a while back and never used them. Had twenty pounds of Golden King Crab legs given to me and thought, lets give these shears a good test on the crab legs. Worked better than any other specialty crab legs cutters. Highly recommended for garden and crab legs.

If your a home gardener, these are going to be your best friends. Sharp, sap channel inside blade, unique spring, does not pop back on itself, and the little latch as a notch it folds into perfectly. I always clean mine if I have been using them for multiple plants in a day, and oil afterwards. Been working all summer from tomatoes to blackberry vines to small saplings.

These are strong and work well but are small and work best for cutting flowers, leaves and small.twigs not made for the larger clipping does fine close work
